OTD in Comic History: The first KISS comic book was released in 1977--and printed with the real blood of all four members mixed into the ink! Following their appearance in Howard the Duck #12 & 13, Marvel capitalized on the band's mega-popularity with Marvel Comics Super Special #1. The band would take on none other than Dr. Doom, and the issue has been re-printed multiple times over the years.

Goodwill has completely lost their minds charging OVER retail on these Star Trek model kits. Walmart eventually had to mark these down to $9 to move them in the clearance section last year.
