How to: Soldering 👇🏼

Soldering is one of the most important parts of the ring making process. So what does soldering do? Soldering is a process used to join both sides of the ring together by melting solder (also known as, metal alloy). This process makes one continuous band, what we call a stacker ring!✨

Meet The Silversmith: Madison ⚒️✨

Madison is one of the co-founders here at Studio SLVR!

The idea for Studio SLVR came from Madison’s dad, following a trip to Utah where the family attended a jewelry making class. The family had an amazing experience and wondered why there was nothing like it in Minnesota. Despite never making jewelry before in her life, Madison was determined to master the art of silversmithing. As a self-taught silversmith, Madison quit her corporate marketing job to teach jewelry making classes, and thus, Studio SLVR opened our doors in December of 2022. 

Since then, Madison and the Studio SLVR team have taught over 1,000 people how to silversmith!

How-to: The Buffing Wheel 👇🏼

One of the final steps in our ring making classes is buffing. So what does buffing even do? Buffing smooths and removes any small perfections remaining on the ring’s surface. It is a crucial part of the process to make your ring truly shine. ✨
