Let’s talk about skincare. I know starting a skincare routine can feel so daunting and expensive. If you’re anything like me, you’ve definitely had a product graveyard of things that didn’t really work for you, but you feel too guilty to toss. I picked Shira as our exclusive skincare line because to be honest, I’m a crappy salesperson. I’ve never been one who could separate my own personal budget from the equation when dealing with clients. I grew up in a modest home, then i spent my 20s very poor, and my 30’s.. well, let’s just say I’m not a master with a budget 😅 All of this being said, I needed a line that when I put my seal of approval on it, I knew it would do what I said it did. I didn’t want to have to work to convince anyone and your trust means everything. When you try it, you see the results. Is it the cheapest? No. Is it the most expensive out there? Also, no. It’s mid range for professional products for a reason.. I want your skincare routine to be attainable. If you can get it all in one go, super. If you need to budget it out, we’ll tell you what you need most and go from there. I have some sad news… the streamer wall is no more. It was glorious, wasn’t?! I tell you… that thing was a labor of love! It took me a couple of weeks, 20 panels of a party streamer background, 2 rolls of alien tape, hanging wire, and some hand sewing with an embroidery needle to complete. There were times I was ready to give up and rip it all down, but my good friend Ashley Counts, encouraged me to trust the process and see my vision through. When it was finished, I was so thrilled, as it was exactly what I was hoping for and it quickly became my favorite thing about the expansion, along with many of our clients!! It was selfie wall magic!! Well last week the sweet Fire Marshal informed me that it wasn’t up to code and it had to go. I totally want to do what’s right and safe, and I respect the law, so it came down.. but not without MANY tears. I am honestly devastated that it had to go, but now I am just focusing on what’s next for the wall and moving forward. We have some sage design options on the works and I hope it feels just as fun!! 💕Michelle

The new waiting room is open!!!

Many of our services require regular maintenance, ranging from every 1-4 weeks. Keeping our clients on their schedule is the upmost importance to us, to ensure they are able to keep up with their investment. For this reason, we have our regular clients rebook in order to save their spots. If an appointment is scheduled and then is continuously rescheduled, it is holding space that no one else can book, causing scheduling issues and putting people off of their timelines. So, for this reason our new policy is that an appointment may only be rescheduled twice. If an original appointment is rescheduled more than twice, we will automatically cancel the appointment and ask that you wait and book for a time that you are able to make work. Thank you for understanding!! 💕

Today was a sad day at The Lashery! Mychele aka @beauty_by_mychele ‘s last day was today. Please join us in wishing her well on her next venture!! We adored having her the past 16 months and will miss her skills and her sense of humor. We know she’ll do great things and can’t wait to cheer her on!!
