Here's a great video our Head Technician Ben made of us removing a glued down engineered hardwood floor. That floor scraper made a terrible job much more manageable!
Stubborn Hardwood Removal! The Channels First Video! This was a job that had some water trapped underneath the hardwood. The wood was glued down so much that even a 400lb floor scraper...

Small water leak
This is what a job looks like after we’re finished. Dry subfloor, dry base plates and studs, all ready for drywall, flooring, and baseboards to be built back
Tile is not waterproof, neither is grout. Especially if it hasn’t been sealed in a while. Seal your grout once every 2 years, but still have a restoration company check for moisture if you have water sitting on your tile for a while.
This is a friendly reminder that water lives in the layers! Just because you don’t see it, does not mean the damage is not there

Dangerous weather could be coming our way. Please keep an eye on the forecast and be mindful if you have to drive anywhere. Stay safe!
A local car dealer had a leak in their kitchenette which caused their wood floor to bubble up about 2” from the expansion. We’re trying the injecti dry system to see if we can’t get the floor to lay back down.
Interesting job here we had recently. Our customer had 2 small mold spots on their wall, and couldn’t figure out why. We took moisture readings and found the wall very wet in those areas but nowhere else. We cut out the wet drywall and found that their upstairs bathroom drain line had been pierced 4 times with screws and drywall anchors (you can see 2 drywall anchors still sticking out of the PVC in the bottom of the picture). That’s something you may not think about when hanging pictures!
If you’ve got water damaged hardwood floors and you don’t want to tear them out, we’ve got a mat-drying system that can fix the cupping issue and get the floor to lay flat again. It’s pretty incredible what it can do!
This is not the subfloor color you want to see under your cabinets!
This week we’re drying out a hardwood floor with an injectidry drying system. These are a great option when homeowners don’t want the hardwood torn out, or don’t want to go through the hassle of sanding and refinishing ALL their hardwood flooring after a tear out.
Doubling up today - heavy equipment required!
Ben and Tanner, having all the fun
Another reminder to get a moisture meter on your floor after you’ve had a water leak. Water spreads quickly!
A customer was sitting in her chair today and starting hearing dripping next to her. The top sill of the window had water steadily dripping from it, and the ceiling had a water stain on it. We got up there immediately and tarped her roof, so that no more water would come in.
Sewage leak this week! Our customer had a leak on their hardwood floor upstairs, and also down in the basement. You can see in the pictures what we found on the subfloor under the hardwood.
Here’s a home with a burst pipe that we are drying out this week. Picture 1 shows how dry the LVP floor looks after we extracted the water off of it. Picture 2 shows how wet the v***r barrier is underneath that same LVP. This just shows how wet things can still be in spite of being very dry on top. Have us test with our moisture meter to make sure you don’t have any hidden water!
It’s cold out there! Make sure to watch your home this week and keep an eye out for any possible signs of water leaking. If you’re heading out of town, shut off your water at the meter and open your lowest faucet to drain the water out of your lines.
We sure are loving our water extractor! This thing makes quick work of any bad flood situations.
Big rainstorms bring big flooding! This customer had an unpleasant finding in her basement - about 3” of standing water. We were able to make quick work of it!
Sewage spill Friday! This is never a fun situation to find in your basement. Luckily, we’ve got this customer’s contaminated items removed already, and everything is clean and drying.
Here's a customer's home recently that had a small puddle of water come out from under their cabinets below the sink. He did the right thing and had a plumber come out. That plumber got the customer in touch with us, and we found the wet subfloor in the crawlspace and a big puddle on the ground. Turns out, the kitchen drain line was leaking in the wall and down into the crawlspace. We've got them drying out and the drain line is now fixed!
It’s never a bad idea to do periodic checks on your plumbing. You may have slow leaks that, if left undetected, can leak to wood rot in your studs, subfloor, and floor joists. That leads to a much bigger job in trying to make sure your house is structurally safe.
Even if you think you’ve got a “tiny” leak from your toilet, your subfloor may tell a different story when we pull back the linoleum! Always have a professional with a moisture meter check your floor if you’re ever in doubt.
