Meet the Doc

Dr. Holly has had a passion for animals from a very young age. She grew up on a small “farm” where she learned to take care of her cats and dogs, as well as ferrets, rabbits, chickens, ducks, geese, and turkeys. At age 3 a family friend picked her up and plopped her on the back of his trusted mare while out in the field. From that day on, horses were all she could think about. As a pre-teen Holly saved all her Christmas and birthday money so she could attend horseback riding camp. All through high school she volunteered at Coastal Therapeutic Riding Program in Wilmington, NC, where she learned the importance of caring for those in need. She earned her Bachelors of Science: Equine Studies from St Andrews University in Laurinburg, NC. Holly knew she wanted to help horses in a special way, but was unsure what career path to take. While attending St Andrews, one of her mother’s friends in Asheville, NC suggested equine chiropractic. After graduating St Andrews, Holly attended Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, SC, where she met and learned from several great mentors. She completed the Animal Chiropractic Education Source program in Meridian, TX in conjunction to earning her doctorate, allowing her to sit for the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association exam in 2018. Since then Dr. Holly has had the pleasure of working with adults, children, cats, dogs, horses, cows, goats, and even chickens and finches. Dr. Holly currently lives in Chesnee, SC with her doting husband, Van, and their many furry, feathered, and scaled charges.
