The lawsuit against NAR is prompting a lot of interesting discussions amongst realtors, mortgage loan originators, and legal professionals.
This could result in so many different outcomes:

🧑‍⚖️perpetual legal processes that don’t result in much tangible change
🏠 home prices go down as buyer commission is no longer “baked” into the list price
📑 more documentation to further clarify the cash flow

Rock Springs Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting for WyHy Federal Credit Union, formerly known as Sweetwater Federal Credit Union, in Rock Springs on Friday, April 21.

"We're super appreciative of the reception we got from Rock Springs. It's always guesswork when you hang a new sign, but people are so welcoming," said Matt Ballou, chief retail officer.

Ballou pointed out that people really don't care about the name on the front door.

"All that matters is the people inside the building and the service they provide," he said. "We're excited for the future."

Today is the second of two big days! Yesterday I attended a closing with one of our members on his home in Laramie. Thank you to First American Title of Laramie for the assistance in getting all the title work cleaned up for our member!

Today I celebrate the closing of one of our members in Casper from a distance as I attend the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new WyHy branch in Rock Springs!

Today is double exciting—two closings on the same day!
🏡 One member in Sweetwater County was a first time homebuyer using an FHA loan. They had been turned down by other lenders due to the property being a manufactured home in a flood zone, but we got them closed with just 3.5% down and a 5.25% interest rate!
🏡 Our other members were moving across the state and needed a fast close on their new home in Fremont County. We got them from application to the closing table in just over three weeks!

I am so excited to have had the opportunity to serve these members, get them into a home they love with a loan they are confident in, and to continue to serve them with our consumer loan and deposit products!
