At some point I bought or was given a square size pad of watercolor paper. So away I went painting ‘squarescapes’ if you will 😆. Here are a few more I had not posted yet. A couple of them have pen in them as well
They are all currently sitting in between book pages for a better flat lay I hope

Tried a palette knife with watercolors to create this one.

The mountains were kind of a nice addition by mishap.

Another one of a few that I did the other day. Really simple type style of brush strokes, less detail. Just practicing different techniques I suppose. I am sure there will be many more practice pieces to come as I try to discover more of this watercolor that I know very little about but seem to love ;)

Some are better than others but they are all fun for process and practice 🤔

Hello all!! Happy first day of March!

Here is a fun style or technique with salt that is really simple.

Quick wet wash with a couple colors of choice
Sprinkle salt on top
Add some more dark drops of color if needed
Let it dry completely, rub away the salt
Add in the trunks, branches, ground shadows and more detail in the leaves if desired

Super simple but pretty cool !!
