We #tdarfac are bridging the gap between academic research and conservation on the ground. We work with partners, researchers, students and the local community to protect endangered species. Join us on this journey and we will succeed together. Izahay #tdarfac dia mampitohy ny fikarohana akademika sy ny fiarovana atao eny ankianja. Miaraka miasa amin'ny mpiara-miombonantoka, mpikaroka, mpianatra, ary ireo mponina eny ifotony mba hiaro ireo biby sy zava-maniry efa ho lany tamingana. Miaraha ary aminay amin'izany adidy lehibe izany ka hiaraka handresy isika. This week, for the #WorldEnvironmentDay, the youth from the primary school Ambohidroa II Antananarivo had the privilege to learn about lemur conservation and human connectivity to nature 🌳🌎. They learned directly in the forest and then with a lemur card game made by Lemur Conservation Network. An event organized by Tany Ketsa, The Mad Dog Initiative, Mitsinjo, Ecovision Village, #Nomena_Fanomezantsoa_Travel, and The Dr. Abby Ross Foundation for Applied Conservation. We work together. We succeed together. We are part of the plan. Teaching Kids about Lemurs in Madagascar
🌿 We had the incredible opportunity to teach kids about lemurs with a super fun card game gifted to us by the Lemur Conservation Network! Way to go Onja Miha! 📚🃏 🤩 These little champions are part of Association Mitsinjo's Environmental Education Program led by the incredible Irène Toutoune Ramanantenasoa. The youth also planted seedlings at the reforestation project site with our partners and collaborators Ecovision Village and The Mad Dog Initiative. 🌱💚 Together, we are nurturing a love for lemurs and the environment! Stay tuned for more videos and photos from this special day! ✨ 🔗 https://www.lemurconservationnetwork.org/learn/lemurs-card-games/ #EnvironmentalEducation #LemurConservation #KidsForNature #EducationMatters

🌍🐒 Celebrating World Lemur Day! 🌿🌺 We are excited to share a special reel, showcasing World Lemur Day celebrations and students from the Mention Anthropobiologie et Développement Durable (ADD), University of Antananarivo. 🎥🦎 We invite students to contribute their own clips to help raise awareness about lemurs and the threats they face. 📸🌳 🌿🐒 3 Ways to Save Lemurs from Extinction! 🌍✨ 1️⃣ Protect their habitats: By preserving and restoring the forests where lemurs live, we can ensure they have a thriving environment to thrive in. Support organizations working on reforestation and sustainable land management practices. 🌳🌿 2️⃣ Combat illegal wildlife trade: Lemurs are often victims of illegal trafficking. Say no to purchasing or owning lemurs as pets and report any illegal trade activities to the authorities. Spread awareness about the consequences of wildlife trafficking. 🛡️🚫 3️⃣ Support local communities: Engage with local communities living near lemur habitats. Encourage sustainable livelihoods that value lemurs and their natural resources. Promote eco-tourism initiatives that provide alternative income sources for communities. 💙🤝 Let's work together to ensure a future where lemurs thrive in harmony with their ecosystems! 🌿🐒💚 #WorldLemurDay #ConservationMatters #LemursForever #StudentsForLemurs #EndangeredSpecies #SaveLemursFromExtinction #EndWildlifeTrade #SupportLocalCommunities
