🌈Finished my latest baby mobile project for my best friend Katy’s new son Luca! The mobile is almost as cute as he is 👶🏻🥰 They just moved back to Chicago and I cannot wait to meet him and see him enjoy it in his new room 😄☺️🥹🥰

My good friend who I am making it for requested all the colors and all the things so I did my best on animal, shape, and color selection 😂😂 sadly we need to say RIP to the lil planet because I ruined him last night. But it’s ok because it would have been too many shapes anyway!! You can also see the leaf didn’t materialize, wasn’t up to my standards 😂 trying and failing and trying again and changing things is all part of the process.

I was tasked with decorating and together with some of Katy and my other (amazing, wonderful, thoughtful) best friends we hosted a fun party filled with love. I was so happy how everything came together: the balloon wall that almost didn’t come together 😂😅, Chicago skyline votive holders, Portillo’s/Lou Malnati’s catering, the onesie banner, the Chicago flag tassels, garrets popcorn favors, vintage Chicago postcards that can be used as thank you cards, various Chicago decor I brought from home, the beautiful Chicago flag cake, the gorgeous sun-filled venue, and of course adorable baby photos of my friend and her husband. The light blue of the Chicago flag was perfect for a baby shower 🩵🩵

Happy earth day!! 🌎💙 Except for a few pieces my furniture is all vintage second hand. Not only do I love vintage furniture, but I love that buying second hand is a great way to be sustainable! And as a perk, the vintage stuff is usually much more durable and better quality while also being comparable in price (and often cheaper!) than buying new furniture!! I love the story that comes with each piece I own.

This pink cabinet is one of my favorites. My parents found it in someone’s garbage. It used to be dark green with a gold painted marble pattern (it was NOT cute before, trust me!!). I fixed it up for about $30 for paint and hardware!

I had no right putting this many colors and patterns in one room 🤩🤩 but I’m here for it.

Work has finally gotten better and I’m ready to get my interior mojo back! I would really like to incorporate more posts and reels on organization into my insta, it’s something I love just as much as decorating and interior design. And since I’ve always been encouraging of a maximalist home I figure it’s only fair that I share how I stick all the s**t I have into my house without going nuts 😂 Currently working on a full reorganization of my craft room/office!
