Nine years of sobriety 🔥 It’s a milestone many dream of, and today, we celebrate a living testament to resilience and recovery, Nick Cialdella. 🎉 🎈
Nick’s recovery journey is nothing short of inspiring.
As the Director of Outreach at Never Alone Recovery, Nick uses his personal experience with addiction to light the way for others struggling in the darkness. 🔦🫂
Nick’s story began in the depths of addiction, where he felt the harsh realities of being shuffled around in the treatment system. But on June 15, 2015, after being released from jail, he made a life-changing decision to completely surrender to the recovery process.
In the beginning, Nick couldn't even fathom staying sober for a few days, let alone NINE YEARS. But his journey shows that if you're struggling, recovery IS possible for anyone.
Nick often reminds us that his recovery is not something he does alone.
His commitment to accessible healing and recovery is evident in his tireless work educating communities on substance abuse and providing emotional support to those affected. From speaking at schools and community events to being profiled by The Chicago Times, Nick’s influence is far-reaching. ⭐️
But Nick’s achievements go beyond his professional role. He’s a devoted father who gained full custody of his son and welcomed another child into his life in July 2020. His story is one of hope, showing that recovery can lead to personal and professional fulfillment.
Congratulations, Nick! Here’s to many more years of inspiring others and proving that

For those who are new to my page- My name is Nick Cialdella and I am a recovering addict.
I'm also a father, a son, and an Outreach Coordinator at Never Alone Recovery.
We help everyone, no matter what. That's who we are and what we believe.
Before all of this, I spent a lot of my life using drugs. Substances ranging from alcohol to he**in and pretty much everything in between.
My life was nothing less than chaos.
I was in and out of jails, detox centers, and treatment centers.
I was depressed, filled with unresolved trauma, seemingly broken, and hopeless.
I have multiple felony convictions and spent most of my time dope sick. But the worst part was that I was incapable of being present in my son’s life.
Back in June of 2015, I had a moment of clarity. And the very next day, I surrendered. That day was June 15th, which is now known as my clean date. The day marked the beginning of a new way to live.
I began to learn how to live free of the obsession, and compulsion to drink and drug.
Since that moment in time, I have done nothing alone. I've continued to do whatever it takes to remain clean.🔥
I don’t claim to know everything. The reality is that I am just someone willing to do whatever I can for a person who is still struggling.
I have a ton of resources for people struggling with using substances and family members.🙌
I want to thank everyone who has followed my journey from day one and welcome all of you who are new to the page.
My aspiration is it gives you hope where there is none and inspiration when it's running low.
-Nick Cialdella
Connection is the cornerstone of recovery. It's through connection that we find understanding, support, and the courage to navigate the challenging journey of addiction recovery.
One of the most powerful ways to connect is by attending meetings. These gatherings are not just about sharing experiences; they're about feeling understood, validated, and supported by others who are walking a similar path.
Meetings offer a safe space where judgment is replaced by empathy, and where struggles are met with compassion.
They remind us that we are not alone in our journey, that others have faced similar challenges and have found a way forward.
Through meetings, we build a network of support that becomes our lifeline during tough times.
Most importantly, meetings remind us of our commitment to ourselves and our loved ones. They reinforce the importance of staying on course, even when the road gets rough. They give us the strength to keep going, one day at a time.
If you're looking to connect with others, we invite you to join our meeting at 7pm central time on Zoom.
