Katerina and Michael’s wedding weekend took place in the picturesque town of Taormina. Friday kicked off with a lively beach party at the Lido Tao Beach Club on the Ionian Sea. The DJs, John Grammatis of Chicago, and Georgios Liakopoulos and Panagiotis Koliopoulos traveled from Greece and set the mood for entire weekend.

That evening, guests were brought to the magical medieval castle town of Castelmola, perched on a mountain peak overlooking Taormina. Guests were greeted by traditional Sicilian folk musicians and dancers in the Piazza Sant’Antonio and enjoyed cocktails with a view of the sunset hanging over the Mediterranean. They were then led down the narrow and winding streets to the Piazza Chiesa Madre, which was lined by colorful Sicilian-tile food stations offering fresh ricotta, mozzarella, maccheroni, pizza, gelato and sorbet.

Thanks for the feature HoldFast Gear! I got a chance to photograph several harvests out in Napa, CA this year. During that time, there are so many things happening around, so I had to be ready with all 3 of my lenses (15-35mm, 28-70mm & 70-200mm) on my camera so that I can just react instead of wasting time (losing the moment) switching my lenses. Having this setup was perfect and allowed me to move around without missing any shots.

I just saw a lady board a plane pretending to be pregnant only to see that her prego belly was just another backpack underneath her sweatshirt so she can sneak in another carry-on item. Gotta give it to her for creativity. 😂

Life is beautiful…

Second wedding of a double header last weekend and it was another epic one. My clients have such great taste and vision for what they want in their wedding and I love working with amazing vendors that make their dream come true. Kehoe Design always knocks it out of the park with their design. I loved working with Danielle & Sonya from in planning the client’s day and I am always impressed by Tricia and her team at for their professionalism, attention to details and their FOOD! Even the kids meal looked amazing 🤩 😂. Congratulations Alicia & Eric! Can’t wait to share more from this wedding. But off to more shooting events and wedding this weekend! I love my job.

A tennis great retired few months ago and another great (and arguably the greatest of all time) announced his retirement today. One I have the pleasure of calling a good friend while the other I have admired and followed from afar. Both had great careers but more importantly, played the game the right way, respected the sport and inspired many around the world. A new era of tennis is around the corner (if you saw this recent U.S. Open tournament, you saw a glimpse of it). These guys have paved the way for the new generation. Future is bright for tennis. 1 year ago today I had a back to back Greek wedding weekend. That was quite the celebration. Patricia and Leonidas sure know how to have a great time. I think I’m still recovering from all the fun we had that day. Congratulations guys! Oh and congrats also to Pete & Valerie who celebrated their 3rd anniversary as well recently. Two sisters down, one more to go! 😉

Many of us wait for a special occasion to open that “special”bottle of wine. But when you open that bottle, it becomes a special occasion. This is also true for photography. Don’t always just wait for a special occasion to capture portraits of your loved ones. When we just take the time to make the photos, it becomes a special moment that we can cherish for a lifetime.

It’s been too long since all of us got together like this to share a meal. So after our bellies were full, I suggested to everyone that we go outside to do a quick family session together. Grazie to Max & Cris for always opening your home to me.
