This is #1 Gym member Hannah performing the Bench Dip, which targets the triceps muscle - the muscle on the back of your upper arm. The plank is an isometric core strength exercise that involves maintaining a position similar to a push-up for the maximum possible time. Planks are functional and practical - you can do it anywhere. Planks train the inner core muscles (the whole trunk from the pelvic girdle to the shoulder girdle), improve posture and help reduce back pain. #1 Gym member Joe is adding an additional challenge - picking up 5 pound plates stacked five high on one side of his body and replacing that stack on the opposite side of his body.
