This is an introductory class where we’ll go over how to mix ink, set up plates and the press, and run various prints depending on the season and theme. In this introductory workshop, you will learn basic letter formations to create the illusion of calligraphy with a pencil or pen, become comfortable forming letters through drills to create muscle memory, learn how to "faux letter" with step-by-step demonstration and practice. Faux lettering (or "fauxligraphy") will really give you a solid foundation and make the transition to lettering with brush pens and calligraphy much easier!
