GRAVITY HILL- WHERE PHYSICS FAIL! The van was in neutral, the engine was shut off, and we started from a complete stop. The claim is that the laws of physics don’t apply to this spot near the Wisconsin/Illinois border, and your vehicle will roll uphill. I think “uphill” is a generous term, it looked to me to be more flat, but I suppose it’s literally a matter of perspective. Satan Claus and Hell’s Bell is a folk art decoration made in the about the 1940’s. HAUNTED MARY formerly belonged to the late, great Chicago legend, JoJo Baby. Jojo believed Mary was haunted, and used to leave offerings like food, and coins for her when he and Mary were roommates. I wrote a little sign explaining this, and Mary has since acquired a pretty impressive hoard! These are all offerings left by visitors who read her signage!
