ChiArts Summer Happenings Music Conservatory
Today, we're featuring ChiArts Music Conservatory's senior opera vocalist Caitlin Burns! 🎶 This past summer, Caitlin visited Italy 🇮🇹 to attend the Bel Canto Institute in Florence. Caitlin shared, "In this program, I received private opera lessons and coaching, as well as Italian language instruction and diction to better my musical style and technique. I was also housed with three roommates and an Italian language speaker, which allowed me to better my Italian skills. I could also walk freely with friends and explore the city after classes." 💚 Wow, what an incredible experience. Check out a preview of Caitlin performing in Florence! ⭐

Tonight is ChiArts' Visual Arts Senior Showcase opening reception! 🤩 As the culminating exhibition of a Visual Artist's work at ChiArts, the showcase will highlight a variety of mediums including: drawings, paintings, photographs, graphic design, comics, garments, videos, sound art, and animations. We invite all interested students to apply for ChiArts’ 2022-23 school year admission! 🎓 GoCPS applications are due on December 15 and this Saturday, December 4 we’re hosting Backstage Pass, an open house offering an immersive on-campus experience. Equity is central to our mission, and what makes the ChiArts model unique is our commitment to novice students. We STRONGLY encourage students with no training in the arts but who demonstrate a strong natural ability and a desire for learning to apply. 💯 ChiArts is proud to be THE ONLY public, tuition-free, and pre-professional arts high school in the United States that actively recruits novice-level students.
