Join us for Wendella’s first-ever New Year's Eve Cruise—a 90-minute river tour featuring breathtaking architecture and a perfect view of the New Year’s Eve fireworks. Departing at 11:00 PM from our Michigan Avenue dock, the cruise will stay on the Chicago River, offering an unobstructed view of the fireworks.

Enjoy a climate-controlled lounge and a full-service cash bar as you celebrate the night in style. Please note, the vessel will not go out to Lake Michigan.

In 1962, Wendella launched a rush-hour commuter service between Michigan Avenue and the Northwestern Railroad Station, offering city commuters a convenient option on the Chicago River. Originally named Wendella RiverBus in 1999, the service was rebranded as Chicago Water Taxi in 2007, expanding its fleet, routes, and enhancing the overall commuter experience.

FUN FACT FRIDAY ➡️ The La Salle Street Bridge is one of the few bascule bridges in Chicago that features four bridge tender houses. While typically only two would be necessary, the decision to include four was likely made for aesthetic reasons.
