Created in 2018 to continue developing serious and talented young dancers, The Ruth Page Civic Ballet Training Company serves as a bridge between studio training and a professional dance career. Dancers train and rehearse daily throughout the school year, focusing on refining ballet and contemporary technique. Features of the program include unique performance experiences, study with guest artists and choreographers, and travel to Ruth Page’s International Sister Schools in Cuba, Italy, and Spain. This year also marks the inaugural year of the Lauren Anderson Scholarship at the Ruth Page School of Dance, which provides full tuition and housing for BIPOC dancers to be a part of the Training Company. The scholarship has been granted to two talented young ladies for the 2021-2022 season, Maurissa Powell and Exodis Ward. The Ruth Page Civic Ballet Training Company is led by the artistic team of Victor Alexander – Artistic Director, Dolores Long – Associate Director, Maray Gutierrez – Artistic Associate, and Edith Barrágan – Ballet Instructor & Repertory Coach. “Our Community.
