My name is Amanda Figus! I’m a pediatric speech-language pathologist. I truly enjoy working with children. I prefer to provide child-centered play-based therapy in order to nurture their communication. They have taught me great lessons in creativity, patience, and having fun!

I have been a speech-language pathologist for 5+ years. I’ve worked in a variety of settings including schools, outpatient therapy, acute care therapy, in-home, and teletherapy. These settings have provided me with experience working with children diagnosed as Autistic, hyperactive, late talkers, motor speech disorders, childhood language disorders, stutterers, and much more!

I’m bilingual and a native Spanish speaker. My parents are of Mexican descent. I’ve been trained in assessing and treating children who come from Spanish speaking backgrounds. I’m also trying to raise a bilingual child at home!

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my little family. I recently became a first time mom. My husband and I love watching our son discover this world! 🌱🌎
