Today the students of YWCA celebrated the 62nd Teachers' day with great enthusiasm and heartfelt devotion. The day was filled with vibrant performances,meaningful gestures and warm expressions of love and respect towards their teachers.
Today YWCA Senior Secondary School in collaboration with it's students and teachers organized a powerful procession aiming to raise about the ongoing violence against women and the urgent need to ensure their safety in the work place
Through this initiative YWCA Senior Secondary School reaffirmed it's commitment to social justice, educating both the young and the old on the importance of standing against violence and ensuring that womens voices are heard and valued
Today, on the auspicious occasion of the 78th Independence Day of India, YWCA Senior Secondary School celebrated with great pomp and splendor. The event was marked by the participation of NCC cadets, who escorted the principal during the unfurling of the national flag—a symbol of our nation's pride, courage, and the sacrifices made for our freedom. The celebration also featured patriotic songs and dances, reminding us all of the importance of this historic day.
On the eve of Independence Day , YWCA Senior Secondary School embraced the spirit of freedom by organizing a vibrant art competition for its students from class 1 to 10 The event was segmented into three distinct groups based on age and grade levels .Students showcassed their creativity and patriotism through various art from, capturing the essence of India's journey to independence
Students of junior Red Cross along with counsellor of HRC Snidha Chakraborty Banerjee, Abeda Begum had visited Red Cross 👶👧👦 home , at Lankashar on 5th June 2024 . Books, pen and eatables were donated to the children
World Environment Day 2024
Today on world's No To***co Day, 31st May 2024 YWCA Senior Secondary School organised an essay competition on the theme- " Protecting children from to***co industry interference "to raise awareness among the children on the harmful and deadly effects of to***co use. The students of class 8 ,9 and 10 actively and enthusiastically took part in the essay competition.
Today at the presence of Administrator and advisory committee all teachers and alumnis participated in the Golden Jubilee meeting held in the premises at YWCA Senior secondary school Guwahati.
Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti was celebrated in the school today. The program started by paying homage to the great soul by lightning the lamp and incense.
The program was presented with dances,poem recitation. Songs and speech on his illustrious life.
The program ended with a vote of thanks by Mr.Sumanto Ghosh.
Farewell to Ms.Rita Bhuyan after her sincere & dedicated 36 years of service to YWCA Senior Secondary School since 1987.
The administration and teachers gave a formal farewell to her and wished her well on the commencement of her new life of retirement.
Ms.Rita Bhuyan expressed her gratitude to all for showering the honour and blessings to her for her life ahead.

Today(22nd April) on the occasion of Earth Day, YWCA Senior Secondary School observed the occasion creating awareness to protect and preserve our environment.The lead was taken by Red House. Students of class VII,VIII,IX,X presented a small skit followed by a small dance on the Theme "Earth"

Children’s Day celebrations today at YWCA Senior Secondary school ( 14th November, 2023)
The World Handwashing Day ( 16th October ) was organised under the banner of the Junior Red Cross (JRC) unit of the school . The students took part in the hand washing activity and an awareness was created on the importance of general health and hygiene through hand washing .
The 9 steps of hand washing were demonstrated by the JRC volunteers under the guidance of the teacher in charges .
The World Mental Health Day (10th October ) was celebrated today under the banner of the school’s Y Deepa club .
The students and teachers delivered speeches on the significance of the day .
A wonderful mime was performed by the students of the high school based on the ill effects of the mobile phones on mental health of students .
