The event transforms retail establishments and restaurants of Lincoln Square and Ravenswood into wine tasting destinations.

Minimizing Kids' Anxiety About Going to the Eye Doctor’s Office | Women In Optometry To help minimize the anxiety of going to the optometrist's office, Dr. Stephanie Lyons has created an "office tour."

Our very own Dr. Maino being honored by the Illinois Optometric Association for what has been an incredible career. Dr. Maino is a LEGENDARY doctor of optometry but an even better person! We have been so lucky to be a part of his incredible legacy.

Dominick Maino, O.D.

Dr. Dominick Maino is a Professor Emeritus at ICO and the Illinois Eye Institute and is a consultant to Lyons Family Eye Care in Chicago. In retirement, he has been an active proponent of the goals of the IOA by working with his State Senator and Representative and reaching out to Illinois politicians and US Representatives (Il Senator Robert Martwick, State Representatives Lindsey LaPoint and William Guzzardi and US State Representative Michael Quigley). He is a community activist and advocate for health care and the arts. Dominick is a consultant to the Old Irving Park Community Clinic (provides free care for the uninsured/uninsured) and is a proponent of the arts in his community (Emeritus Board Member of the Filament Theater). He is a Goodman Theatre GeNarrations trained storyteller and playwright and the creator, curator, and host of the Six Corners StoryTellers. The Six Corners StoryTellers give “Stories for a Cause” that benefits not for profits in his community.

Lyons Family Eye Care was excited to host Girl Scout Daisy Troop 26240 this week and help them earn their Vision Awareness badge! This group definitely has some eye doctors in training among them!
