Some characteristics I've identified of developing multiple successful fighters over the years: 1) Strive to always be better aka Hunger 2) Self-discipline aka Puttin in work 3) Working with what ya got aka Acceptance of self

These are just my opinions and definitely leans towards my coaching style. Coaches, what other characteristics have you found that works for you and your fighters?

Better late than never post. Finally back and rested after a long drive from Des Moines from the @tbaclassicmuaythaiworldexpo and coming back with 2 National Champions! Congratulations to Juan @juanysaan for capturing the Mens Class C 137-142 division championship, and young Jacob @jakobtron for capturing the Junior Boys Novice 122-127 division! They both of course couldn't have done it without the rest of the team, the members helping back at The Academy, coaches, and those that supported them a long the way. Many of us fought twice on Day 1, and even had harder fights on Day 2 & 3. Imagine this. Most of our fighters made it all the way to the semi-finals. Your shins are bruised, your body is sore, some injuries prevent you from doing basic things like walking, making a fist, injuries that limit your ability to fully perform at the highest level of this tournament, yet you still HAVE to perform or you are eliminated. Yep our guys went through that. Training 6 days a week, dieting, sleep deprived, and dealing with all the general life obstacles at the same time to perform in the ring with a high possibility of being eliminated that very same day. They put themselves to the ultimate test to see what they can do and all of them came out on top. As the head coach, this is also the first year I took more of a step back and let the team almost run themselves while I observed and made sure it was running like a well oiled machine. I am extremely proud to watch how we've matured over the years as we all share the wins and the losses. It was also great seeing many familiar faces and regroup especially with our Canadian friends over at @miltonmuaythaiboxing See you in July for @reprezentmts! Thank you as well to my right hand man Kru Jeff @simonelli_chitba for taking time our every year to help Thank you to all the coaches and members who helped prep the team. Thank you to all the parents of the kids who entrusted us in training your kids to participate in
