Another day, another stopped up drain. Had to chase these sdr35 pipes all the way back to the foundation. Cleared out and replaced what we could, snaked the rest. We got everything flowing properly from the down spouts and foundation drain. Reassembled everything including clean outs and used dual smooth wall corrugated pipe to flex with the ground, but still have a smooth bore for water to flow down.

Small jungle conquered.

This is starting to become a thing…. Another extra overgrown knocked down to manageable yesterday at this bank owned. We found large branches, 24” logs, boulders, lots of concrete and 6 tires (among other things) back in this jungle. After it was knocked down, I used the grapple as a rake to get all of the trimmings up and not to just lay on the top and cause other issues. Also, when I first looked at the property, I was surprised to find a pool hidden back there too!

Who knew there was a whole house under there!! 🫣😳 We partnered with to make this happen. What a change!

Down spout wasn’t draining and backing up into the patio. Located the leak, was a smashed, clogged pipe. Replace pipe, bury and set the sod we cut off right back on top. Almost like we were never there.

Trim some shrubs, pull some w**ds, edge the bed and mulch.

Russo Lawn Care seeks to fill seasonal positions for a reliable, detail oriented Mowing Crew member. Main skills for this position will include operating a stand on mower, string trimmer and backpack blower in a quick, but safe manner. We are a small operation that mows, preforms landscape maintenance, landscape installs and mulch and more. To be considered for this position, you need to be 21 or older, have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation. For this position we are looking for someone with experience operating a commercial mower, trimmer and blower. The route we are hiring for services about 70 properties weekly, so it is a quick paced environment. We use an app to track clocked hours, schedule and close jobs as they are finished.

Our mowing trucks are trailerless, so as long as you can drive a pickup truck, there will be no need to pull a trailer for regular mowing routes.

Starting pay will be dependent on confirmed skill set of operating all mowing related equipment and driving history among other factors.
$17-21 per hour

I drove by this F Superduty dump truck sitting at a farm for sale. I stopped to look, returned the next day and bought it. Fast forward 3 weeks later, it’s been getting worked and I’m impressed. For being 30 years old with a 460 gas engine and 5 speed manual, this dinosaur can still get it done. I don’t plan to keep it long, just enough to get through spring rush, but I don’t know how I’ve been in business without a dump truck for this long.

Today I dug a 95’ French drain trench for another contractor. Loaded the truck a few times, dumped off site.

When a customer comes out, looks at the project then says, “Dominic, you do good work.” That always makes me feel 10’ tall.

Todays project: replace a section of split rail fence.

A lady called and asked if we could fix her privacy fence. She said the paneling was OK but the post holding it up for cracked at the bottom. Luckily we were able to take out the privacy fence in sections, dig new holes and install new posts for her. We even fixed her sagging gate that wouldn’t open without dragging the ground and reconfigured the latch.

We had an accident. A trimmer wasn’t properly secured on the mow truck. As they drove by it came off of its holder and harpooned a mailbox. Luckily the trimmer survived, but this old rotten mail box did not. What do you do? The guys knocked on the door, explained what happened then called me. I went out, assessed and decided the best way to move forward was a replacement. I’m not a carpenter, but I gave it a shot. I think the new box turned out nice and the customer is happy they were taken care of. That’s what truly matters. Take care of your customers, even those who aren’t.

A weekly maintenance customer of ours wanted to plant Arborvitae for some privacy, but 18 tree holes is a lot to dig by hand. No problem, we have a solution for that! #513

This customer had a new back patio poured and deck expanded. We came in after to clean up the lumpy back yard, fresh topsoil, seed and ECM!

We’re hiring full time seasonal workers! Work performed will be weekly maintenance duties including mowing grass, mulching, pruning, seasonal clean ups, landscape installs and other landscape related duties.
There will be training to operate commercial mowing equipment. Starting pay from $16-$19 an hour depending on abilities and qualifications. Must have a drivers license and reliable transportation.
A good attitude is more important to us than experience in landscaping.

I am miserable at taking pictures of the projects we have been doing. You may have to use a little imagination here, but the bare dirt in the first picture looked just like the tangled woods in the background just a few hours before this picture was taken.
