Abuse comes in many forms, whether we realize it or not, many of us have fallen victim to it. We make excuses for the ones who treat us so, justifying their behavior, lying to ourselves, lying to others, so that we can convince ourselves that this individual truly loves us and WE can change that person. It’s normal to feel completely alone without actually being alone. Waiting for them to say anything nice even if it’s a word , just to give us that boost of hope, that they really are super sweet.

We tell ourselves that he/she is just going through something and they don’t mean to take it out on us. We shouldn’t have done this or that to upset them, we are the inconsiderate ones.

Truth is, We can tell ourselves as many lies as we want but we know deep down that’s not the truth. Truth is, that behavior is everything but love.

Our society has us tricked into believing that these toxic people and relationships in our lives are completely normal, and that’s their passion showing. I’m here to stand against that and say that it’s completely wrong.

God is Love. His love does not wax or wane , nor is it a fickle, emotional feeling that changes like the wind. He is the same yesterday, today and will be tomorrow. He won’t ever put you down or tell you to shut your mouth when asking a question. He won’t hit you when you challenge something, he won’t allow you to pay the way for him. It’s quite the opposite.

Jesus paid the ultimate price for you, Jesus lifts you up instead of putting you down, Jesus says tell me your burdens and give them to me and I will give you rest. His love is unconditional and unending, so let’s step into the love of Christ and treat one another so. Our way isn’t working. The world only wants you to depict happy relationships through photos. Not actually live what that photo depicts. Jesus wants to give you true love, for he alone is the embodiment of love. It is through him that we can grow healthy relationships with everlasting peace, joy and his contentment.
