It was such an incredible pleasure to create this conference table for The Neely Agency in Claremore. It’s extra special because they are old friends. They have taken care of all of our insurance needs for a long time. The wood is salvaged walnut and pecan. It is finished with I used my hand held Cnc for the logo deep pour pacific blue. fabricated the base and powder coated the base flat black.

Fall is in the air.

Delivered this catalpa writing desk and walnut side table. The catalpa tree was growing in an older neighborhood in Claremore. During the flood of 2019 I had it tied to a tree to keep it from floating down the river. This is an excellent example of tree to table craftsmanship. The wood is the art. I am so excited to share the news that Woody River Hardwoods is going to be located in neighborhood. I feel like it’s the perfect location to promote urban salvaged wood as functional art. It will be a very comfortable space to have a meeting to discuss custom projects and there will be several finished pieces. I am hoping to feature some other local artists work as well. If there is an interest in doing some workshops then I would love to share my knowledge. I always say the wood is the art I just try to enhance it. I’m so grateful to have this wood to work with and look forward to sharing it with all of you.

Took this countertop to the shop, redid it and delivered it back to the clients. They were pleased. Isn’t that the goal in life? Thank you for allowing me to please. It is very rewarding and I am grateful.

Red Oak countertops came out nice. Live edge countertops from locally salvaged kiln dried live edge slabs are a great replacement for those old Formica type countertops. It goes well with granite marble or tile. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣

Spending the day talking to high schoolers about urban salvaged wood. It is sustainable and it is the most beautiful example sequestered carbon in my opinion

It’s amazing what you can do with wood that would have been destined for the landfill or firewood at best.

Leonard is 5 years old today. He has been my constant companion. When the person thought up that phrase about dogs being man’s best friend it was Leonard they were talking about. His life is spent making me feel like a little boy. Ha

So appreciative for the opportunity to build these tables. All of the pieces are salvaged wood from my previous occupation as an arborist. It is a labor of love. This table went to a home in Tulsa where I had removed several large trees on the same block years ago. I drive through some of the old neighborhoods I used to work in and see trees I planted in some cases over 30 years ago. I am blessed. Thank you for your support
