This is heartbreaking and beyond belief in 2024. What message does this send our kids of all ages?

We need to teach our kids to be allies and not just at the high school level but in elementary and middle school too. We need to remind them they all matter and no child needs to fear getting hurt or even worse because of who they are since birth.
Being LGBTQ+ is not a choice for any student. They are born this way. They matter and right now we need to remind them they are not alone.

If you know any LGBTQ+ student hurting and needing someone to talk to, share the The Trevor Project with them and tell them there are counselors there ready to help and listen. Remind them they are not alone :

This new group is led by a professor, attorney, and most of all “Mr.Mom” … on his local BOE, Westfield Dad: Charles Gelinas .
He listens and because of that realized we need this group.
