Last minute project before we head out for the first of 2 graduations in our little family! Congratulations to the Class of 2024!

I've been busy making new items for the shop over the last few weeks! Patches will be listed soon! Some are cute and some are snarky! Which do you prefer?

Hey there! Is this thing on? It is? Ok good!

Guess what!? Starting today, I'm back! Life has pulled me in a few directions lately and things needed my attention but as of now, I am getting back to my creative work!

Things are going to be changing a little bit though. Don't be scared. Change is good! In this case, change means new products are coming 😁

Currently, the website is undergoing an overhaul. As I am growing, so is my creativity and what I want to offer. This means that what was offered on the website and how it was offered, just wasn't working. So, I'm changing it up. I could use a lot of computer and website design lingo here but just know it is taking longer than expected. So for the time being, items will be listed in the Etsy shop.

So keep checking back here for updates and to see what I'm working on!

Hey everyone! As many of you know, I have been working to get the website updated. As I have been going through everything, I found that things just were not working together the way they should anymore. So, this set me on a path to setting up an entirely new site (imagine Shaun's excitement when I got excited about this).

He built the framework and I got started working on setting everything up offline...until I couldn't do anything else offline. It has taken a few weeks to get the theme and all of the plug ins to work the way that I want them to and has been a huge learning curve for me but it has been an experience that I needed to go through. I have a profound appreciation for those who choose web design for their career. It is not my forte. After this, I will leave it to the professionals!

I am still working out some non-critical issues such as listings need to be updated but for now, the site is up and running! YAY! However...

I realized that I didn't have a Halloween themed kitchen towel for my own kitchen today.... blasphemy, I know! So I'm stitching one 😁

I am working on cleaning up my workspace today....well one of them 😂😂😂

Today it is my small crafting area in our spare room that I use to work on smaller projects when it is either too hot or too cold to work in the workshop.

I still have an inventory of hooded towels that need new homes in order to clear the way to install insulation and drywall in the workshop.

I typically play the TV whenever I am working, cleaning, or doing whatever around the house. I don't always watch it and have very specific shows that I use for background noise. You know the shows that you've seen every episode more than once but it doesn't bother you if it is on and you can continue focusing on what you're doing?

Right now that show is Monk from USA. I can watch that (or ignore it if I have work to do) over and over again.

What show would you want to come back?

I have been clearing off my reading list by utilizing audiobooks. It's easier for me to listen to a book while working than it is to find free time to sit down and read.

Since we recently scheduled our next vacation, I made a wish box to help save money to go towards it.

What is a wish box?

It is similar to a shadow box but has a cutout in the top so that you can drop items in it. I am using it to save up for vacation. Wish boxes have been used at wedding receptions in place of guest books. The guests would sign their names on a small token and deposit it into the wish box for the bride and groom.

They can be used to give birthday wishes to someone instead of birthday cards.

What would you use one for?

Some days are good, some days can be better. Today, physical therapy whooped me! This afternoon will be spent cuddling with a certain snuggle bug that likes to make me feel better.

Since we moved, I've been going through a lot of the things that have been collecting in our house over the years (as they tend to do without us noticing). Some of it got mixed in with my workshop boxes. So this year, I started going through everything in my workshop and getting rid of the stuff that I have no intention of using, things that belong in the house and not in my workshop, and organizing my supplies into a better system.

As you can tell by this picture, I do not currently have any insulation or drywall. We are working on that. Between the heat/humidity of the east coast summers and the bitter cold of the winters, without the insulation I cannot work in the workshop. I use my single needle in the spare room of the house for small things and I do have the heating/ac until installed in the workshop.

But here's where I need some help:

I have about 4 maybe 5 big storage totes of hooded towels that are currently in the way of continuing with installation of insulation. So they REALLY need to find new homes. I have marked the hooded towel category on sale. Majority of the towels listed are finished and ready to ship.

TODAY IS THE DAY! 🥳

Hi there! My name is Lani and I am the one and only behind the scenes here at Exclusively Yours Embroidery. I am the wife of Shaun and the mother to Becca and Elizabeth. I spend my free time chasing after my two furbabies, Finley and Angel.

I started my shop back in 2014 when Shaun was stationed overseas with the Navy and the girls were homeschooled as a method to help time go by faster. Hobbies tend to help keep us busy. However, my hobby turned into something more. I started with your traditional embroidery such as shirts and bags, and moved onto what are called In the Hoop Projects. Those are items that are completed from start to finish in the embroidery hoop. I know, that is likely more technical than it needs to be right now, but it will all make sense over the coming weeks as I clean up things on the website.

In 2020, at the start of the pandemic, Becca was in her senior year of high school. Shaun had just retired from the military and started his first civilian job that he was commuting 2+ hours. We were working on renovating the house that we were living in and preparing to put it on the market while the rest of the world was at a standstill. We found a place roughly 15 minutes from where Shaun works (yay!) and moved that week. Since then, I’ve been focusing on my health and fitness. This is something that is new to me. I’m the type that puts my family first but now that my kids are grown, it’s time to put that focus on myself. It’s just weird!

So why am I telling you all this?

Because I have decided that today is the day that I am recommitting myself to my passion and getting back to work. I will be working on the website over the coming weeks and getting it cleaned up. This means that some items will be going away and new items will be added. I will be switching from “Made to Order” (I make it when you order it) to having a set number of certain items on hand. Items such as shirts will be made to order, as I do not want to have 1,000,000 shirts on hand at all times. Shirts will be purchased as needed and processing times will reflect that.

Please be patient with me as I am working on getting back to full speed. You don’t just wake up and decide to run a marathon right? I’m sure there will be bumps and bruises along the way but it will all smooth out and become a well-oiled machine again. Please let me know if there is something that you are specifically looking for and I will see what I can whip up.
