A great benefit of Operation Lethal Eagle (OLE) is the opportunity to stress our aviation leaders in realistic scenarios and complex training environments. Congratulations to 1LT Cameran Hymel and 1LT Ryan French, both of whom were signed off as pilots in command (PC) during OLE. These outstanding young aviators proved themselves through a series of intense evaluations and are the newest pilots in command to join our ranks!

Congratulations to Staff Sergeant Low and Sergeant Mitchell on their decision to renew their commitment to the United States Army by reenlisting.

4th Forward Support MEDEVAC Platoon “Speedy” trained with Medics from 526th FSB/BSB conduct a patient transfer utilizing ground AXPs with FLAs.
This validates the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) ability to conduct Medical Evacuation missions in Large Scale Combat operations and enhanced air and ground evacuation coordination.
It was also a fantastic opportunity to teach the ground medics what 68WF2 Flight Paramedics can do and provide guidance on how to apply to be a flight medic.

2nd Forward Support MEDEVAC Platoon (FSMP) conducted slick chase training with A Co 5-101, 5th Battalion, 101st Aviation Regiment "Eagle Assault" , performing 9-line iterations of confined hoist during Day and NG mode of flight.
This training further developed es**rt TTPs for MEDEVAC missions, better equipping all crews with a further understanding of DUSTOFF operations in a contested environment.

Eagle DUSTOFF and 2-17 Cavalry Squadron "Out Front" teamed up to conduct MEDEVAC multiship training in the opening days of Operation Lethal Eagle.
They ran multiple scenarios together and conducted capabilities briefs for both airframes.
This training is vital to ensure effective coordination from both crews to conduct a MEDEVAC mission in a hostile and dynamic environment.

Today marks one year since Charlie Company lost 9 soldiers on 29 March 2023. Yesterday we honored them in an unveiling of a beautiful memorial in their honor. Our 9 Eagles, will never be forgotten:

Proper setup of the SKED is critical to ensure rapid and safe extraction utilizing the Rescue hoist equipped on HH and MH series helicopters .
