It was pretty "sappy"!

The Arbol del Tule is approximately 190 feet in circumference and 138 feet tall! It is said that it can provide shade for up to 500 people. This magnificent tree is located in a town on the outskirts of Oaxaca City that was named after it, Santa Maria. It has the bulkiest trunk of any tree found worldwide. It was formerly speculated to be made up of multiple trees because it is so enormous, but its DNA tests showed that it is one tree only! Its period of existence was approximated between 1,200 to 3,000 years.

The unfortunate truth of owning and running a business.

Running a business is really hard.

What they don’t tell you is that it can cause severe stress and anxiety, and drains you mentally to the point of depression in even the most laid back people.

People will talk about you, compare you to others, use you, they will view you as a service and not a person anymore.

Friends and family will expect discounts/ freebies and people will value you and your hard work less than a big chain store.

You have to worry about if you forget to email/message or call someone back, are they going to think it was on purpose? Did you disappoint them? Will they hold that against you? When in reality you just can’t get to everyone’s messages, emails and phone calls.

Starting up and running a successful business puts incredible strain on personal lives and relationships, many of which fail because there is just often no work life balance. You need to be the director, the worker, the admin, the marketing team, the accountant, the cleaner... All while being a parent, a husband or a wife, family support, friend... it’s one of the hardest things you will try and balance. If you give your time, you will sacrifice financial benefit. If you strive for financial benefit, you will have to sacrifice your time. It’s just the way it goes when your business is relying on you to survive and you’re relying on your business to provide!

There’s a reason you don’t see many people succeed in small businesses after 5 years. If they are successful they are overwhelmed. It takes a toll. It’s freaking exhausting. Especially the past couple of years when so much has been out of our control.

Here’s a small reminder that we are just normal people with hectic lives. Be kind, be patient, support small businesses... and hopefully more of us will stick around!

The customer wanted more off but we talked them into letting us trim it again next year so we don't take to much off at one time and start a dying process. Magic Man Tree Solutions went to the F.A.A.R event in
Winter Haven, FL it stands for "First Aid and Aerial Rescue".. Myself Jamie the owner/operator/climber of MAGIC Man Tree Solutions and Wild Weston Willis climber of Magic Man Tree Solutions both went along with owner/operator Tracie Trim and our 14 yp daughter and our 8 yo son was at the event..Weston and Myself were right there while Tracie got pictures and videos so me and Weston could focus and learn how to bring down an injured person from a tree or Aerial situation..We learned how to hook the injured or unconscious person to ourselves with an extra lowering device and how to hook the injured or unconscious person to ourselves with their buckstrap so they wouldn't lay back they would sit chest to chest with the person lowering at Magic Man Tree Solutions the whole crew is always looking to grow and learn everything tastes is required to be as professional as possible for our customers and on our jobsites..A huge thank u to David Loats for inviting me and another huge thanks to Forrest Mccullough for stopping and talking to me and weston amd help us understand what the instructor was doing and saying up in the tree with the test dummy..
