Bleeding Bubblegum 7 × Bhut Jolokai almost ready to harvest. I normally wouldn't leave a pepper to grow on such a small plant but I got them with the peppers already half way ripe so gave it time to finish. These are gorgeous with the bleeding calyx!

First harvest of the season, not all fully ripe or even at all but they needed to be harvested so the plants could focus on growing more. We have some jalapenos, cayenne long slim and whippets, super chillies, Sugar Rush Peach Stripe, a tiny unripe ghost, and what I believe are a unripe choc or red habanero, an almost ripe scorpion oddball and an unripe scorpion or choc scorpion.

Monster Ranch was always intended to be a branching world of exotics, and that includes flora as well as fauna.

Our first clutch in the monsoon project hatched out last week, and we couldn't be more excited! By the looks of things we have three possible hets and one that looks fairly average. With monsoon testing on the horizon it hopefully won't be too long until we know for sure.

Our first clutch started crawling out of their eggs this morning. It wasn't a perfect clutch, but those are some strong het monsoon markers on the first girl that's out.

Happy Mother's Day! Our first clutch of the season greeted us this morning. I see some nice head markers for het monsoon, super excited for this project.

Then there's my girl Uto, it's been such an amazing experience witnessing her ontogentic color change over the years. The amount of blue she's developed is truly stunning 🤩.

This girl is massive, by far my largest snake. She's over 8 pounds and almost as long as I am tall.

We got this boy a few weeks ago, and while I won't say exactly what he is here we have an unboxing video reveal coming soon. One of two amazing animals I've purchased this year. I'll give you a hint though, it was originally produced by and purchased from .a.d_royals

Our second clutch of the year had been laid, and while it was far from a perfect clutch I'm still pretty excited to see what crawls out of the three healthy eggs we got in the incubator.

This clutch is actually from a Volta female that was gravid when imported, so mostly we are just looking for a male so we can keep up a 100% Volta line. Had all 13 eggs been fertile I'd feel a bit more comfortable about this one.

Looks like they are really starting to get along ... Now to convince her that I is friend as well.

Quetzalcoatl, our pos het Monsoon Candy ... Tree Python? Lol this boy found such an interesting location to hang out in his temp bin while his regular one was cleaned.

The Yuukianura Aphoruroides "Orange Springtails" munching down. The F2/3 gen is starting to gain color finally, and there's it course thousands of new little babies blanketing the food as usual. Hopefully in the next few months the culture will really start blooming with color.

This boy has a lot of the BB traits we are seeing and trying to see if genetic. There was just way to many babies that looked like mom with this dark time, high contrast black backed and checkered belly.

This one looks like mom with the black back and checked belly but doesn't look to have YB. Thinking there's a BB dinker gene in there mom possibly. She was sold as a Black Pastel which she obviously wasn't, but maybe the reseller was confused.

Still working on my springtail photography skills, but honestly I'm happy with the noticable advances In making. These little ones are as small as a grain of sugar, so they certainly don't make it easy!

And would you look at that? They featured a picture of our YB Enchi Pastel Pinstripe we produced last year, which we have been calling the Goldenblast. He's such a gorgeous boy, we can't wait to pair him up to our OD Pin hopefully later this year or next.

Our new Pied het Lavender male! Can't wait to pair this boy to our Enchi het Lavender proven breeder.

Our 66% het Monsoon Candy boy Quetzalcoatl from Dave Green putting in some more work here at Monster Ranch Exotics. Started the season a bit late but this boy doesn't mess around and yet again locked in the first 12 or so hours of putting him in with the female. I checked after the first hour and he was already wrapped up and had his tail posted against hers so it was probably pretty earlier then 12. He really likes the ladies, and as well ate without issue in between the two girls. Really excited to see what kind of possible hets we produce next year!! And we're getting so close!!!

This pairing is to our proven Pastel Enchi girl Echidna. She produced an amazing clutch for us this year in June and has been slamming food for the last month or two. We started pairing last year in Oct for her and she went off food in December/January so hopefully we weren't to late. But her body language is saying she's still building, and she still has time until when she ovulated last year so I think we are good to hopefully make some Pastel Enchi het Monsoon. I was a bit torn on this pairing as Enchi can really hide het Monsoon markers but then I saw the Enchi Monsoon and it's great so hoping for a good amount of Enchi females from the pairing to hold back.

Our first pairing of the season! Finally starting our journey into the monsoon!!! We've been so busy this year we're running a bit behind on schedule, but this boy didn't hesitate to start things off strong, locked within 24 hours first time pairing. Our 66% het Monsoon Candy boy Quetzalcoatl from Dave Green to our newly acquired normal pos het Albino girl who I have yet to name. She's a big one, and is a really interesting extremely dark normal. Hoping for some nice het Monsoon females to hold back, and while Quetz is technically only a possible het for now, there's absolutely zero doubt in my mind that he will end up proving to be het Monsoon. Will we got some Candino in the process? Who knows, but it wouldn't be an unwelcome surprise.

Some close ups of our first double visual Powder Orange Oreo Pied P. Pruinosus aka the Powder Dreamsicle project. It took us about a year to produced this little one, and it sure was worth it. Already seen a few more mancae and very young ones that are also Dreamsicle. Once we have enough juveniles they will finally be separated into their own setup.

That's no Cheeto, it's an Orange Springtail! These pictures came out a bit better, but still not the quality I was hoping for when I busted out the macro lens for my phone.
