This was me, trapped in a body that felt like a prison. Every day was a reminder of the promises I made to myself and broke. The discomfort wasn’t just in my joints or in the way my clothes fit, it was in my spirit. I was carrying the weight of every missed opportunity, every ‘tomorrow’ that never came, every excuse that kept me stagnant. It’s not just about the size or the shape; it’s about the feeling of knowing you’re capable of more but letting yourself down over and over again.
I woke up every morning with the same thought "How did I get here?" The answer was simple I chose this. I chose comfort over change, convenience over discipline, and it hurt like hell. Not just physically, but emotionally, deep in my soul. I saw the person I could be slipping further and further away, and I was paralyzed by the fear that I’d never get them back.

It involves altering eating habits, increasing physical activity, and making lifestyle changes in order to reach a desired goal. This goal can range from losing weight, building muscle 💪🏽 , improving metabolic health 🩺, increasing energy levels, or simply feeling better about oneself. Through body transformation, individuals can gain self-confidence, look and feel better, and improve their overall quality of life. 🌿 Boosting Immunity Naturally
So here’s the season to get sick right? I’m already starting with the sore throat, dry cough, sinus headaches and all these lovelies that occur within this weather change. With that in mind, I don’t particularly care for the trend of typical medicine. Whenever possible a natural, holistic approach works best for my immune system and doesn’t leave those millions of side effects that we often hear and read about with each traditional medication.
In Ayurveda, immunity is known as Ojas, or supreme resilience of the body against diseases. When your body gets enough and adequate nourishment, your Ojas becomes very strong and you stay healthy. For this, you need to take a balanced diet which can give you the essential nutrients. Apart from a good diet, here are some other immune-boosting foods that you should consume:
Ashwagandha: This woody herb helps in boosting immune cells. It also reduces stress by managing the production of cortisol (stress hormone) in the body, which is related to staying resilient to diseases. You can consume Ashwagandha by adding it to milk, along with turmeric, for best results.
Turmeric: Turmeric not only boosts immunity but also has healing properties. The curcumin (yellow element) in turmeric has properties that help in stabilizing the immune system. It benefits people with chronic conditions like diabetes, arthritis, asthma, etc. Drink milk with turmeric in it to get the benefits of this spice. You can also cook turmeric with your food to increase immunity.
Giloy: This herb is a blood purifier, due to its antioxidant content. Giloy also helps in fighting disease-causing bacteria and aids in digestion. The combined effect of this herb boosts immunity. Giloy can also be beneficial for diabetics as it helps in managing blood glucose. One way to consume Giloy is by adding Giloy juice to water and drinking it on an empty stomach.
Amla: This Indian gooseberry is one of the richest sources of vitamin C and has properties that enhance the functioning of the immune system. Drinking Amla juice on an empty stomach in the morning can help in boosting your immunity. It is not recommended to consume Amla post sunset.
