As some of you may know, I've been working on my new full length album, “Hey You It's Me” for a while now. With so many transitions in my life and in the world, I have given myself more time and thought to complete it. I love how it's unfolding! I'm so excited about all the songs and expressions on the album and can't wait for you to hear my album in it's entirety.

I will officially release “Hey You It's Me” in the spring of 2024. BUT there will be two versions: an online release available on all music streaming platforms AND a physical Special Edition CD. The special edition version will have a few exclusive additions - songs, demos, and poems that won't be included on the digital online version!! You'll get a further look into my creative world. AND I will autograph your CD.

Mariama Whyte is a singer, songwriter, actor, speaker, coach and ebook author from Cleveland, OH. She performed in the Broadway National Tours of The Lion King and The Color Purple, and on several regional theatre and music stages.

As a speaker, she combines dynamic storytelling and singing to enrich her audiences and coaches individuals to communicate and perform with confidence and presence.

Mariama has released various music projects as an independent recording artist and is excited to release her new album, “Hey You It’s Me” in 2023.

This is one of my favorite pictures of my Aunt Dianne. I love it because it takes me back to when I was a little girl and my family would take trips to NYC to see her dance with her company, Sounds in Motion. They put on theeee most phenomenal shows! I was mesmerized watching her and her company of dancers move across the stage, to live avant- garde jazz. I didn’t know exactly what kind of performer I wanted to be, but I knew I wanted to be on stage, make a living as an artist, and have a powerful impact on audiences as she had on me. If my aunt could do it, then I could do it. So much of who I am, my continuous desire and passion to keep creating, is because of my aunt Dianne McIntyre. She inspires me as she continues to stay on her path with such wit, vision, heart, and strength. She is a FORCE!

She is highlighted as the “Tom Brady of Dancers” in the New York Times today 😊

This weekend was INCREDIBLE!

Landing a TEDx Talk has been one of my dreams and to deliver my talk, “Finding Home : Creating the Inner Safety to Speak with Confidence and Authenticity” at “Fluidity” event was so exhilarating for me!

Sharing my idea with the people of Colorado Springs and all who joined via livestream was so fulfilling. AND to have my family in the building was sooooo special!!

To my mother, , I LOVE YOU!! I feel so blessed to share this moment with you all. Thank you so much for coming! ❤️😭❤️😘

Jamming with Rohan Marley in NYC. Singing his fav tune, "Turn Your Lights Down Low." Thankful for the opportunity to vibe with him and his family and friends. Downloaded the Bob Marley app, entered the contest and won a trip to NY to hang with him.👌🏾 This has been way beyond what I imagined...thankful to Rohan and Escapex! It all started with love and wisdom of Bob Marleywhose music was a guiding light since I was a child and throughout my life.
