Cuyahoga County Project DAWN (Deaths Avoided with Naloxone) aims to educate opioid users and their loved ones or friends on the risk factors for an opioid overdose, recognizing an overdose and how to respond to an overdose with naloxone. We are a walk-in clinic open every:
*Monday - Thursday 9a-3p at Cleveland EMS Headquarters (1701 Lakeside Ave, Cle)

Fentanyl test strips are an important harm reduction tool to help people who are using substances make informed choices! We encourage people to test all substances including pills, as it may have a lethal dose of fentanyl present.

Gov. DeWine announces 1 million fentanyl test strips distributed throughout Ohio Drug overdoses have been on the rise nationwide, but Ohio is bucking the trend with a slight decrease, thanks in part to an initiative announced by Governor Mike DeWine.

Based on EpiCenter emergency department (ED) visit data, the Cuyahoga County Board of Health has seen an increase in the number of patients presenting to EDs for suspected drug overdose. Alerts (2) occurred for February 26th 11am through February 27th 12pm, totaling to 17 patients seen in our EDs for drug-related injuries. Data analyses showed an unusual demographic pattern, specifically an increase in female youths.
