You DO NOT want to miss this free event that will provide exercise sessions, yoga, food demonstrations, educational discussions, vendors, a few surprises, and multiple diagnostic screenings (listed in the flyer). If you or someone you know requires any of the diagnostic screenings or have questions regarding your health, please register. The facility will have funding available in the event there are participants without insurance. This year, Soror Erica McBee will again lead a discussion regarding mental health. Please tell your associates, community affiliates, friends, and family members. Let's take the next step in educating ourselves regarding OUR health. The power of health literacy starts here. OperationBigBookBag is a program designed to address the needs, challenges and issues that face school-aged children who are educationally at-risk, in local homeless shelters and extended-care hospitals and facilities. Through this program, chapters and members collect and donate educational materials, equipment and school supplies. Programs can be held by chapters all year long with the back to school supply give-away held every August and January of the school year. Reach out to educator friends and family members and ask them to submit a 30 second video about themselves and simply explain why they are an All-Star educator. The educator should teach a subject surrounding science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics. The prizes up to $500 will include gift cards and supplies to replenish the classroom for the next semester.

Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority’s Project CRADLE Care is one of our essential programs designed to raise awareness of disparate and inequitable maternal and infant health outcomes Black women endure through community outreach, advocacy, education, and implicit bias training. Alpha Lambda Sigma Chapter is partnering with MetroHealth NICU department to provide Care Packages for families. The care packages will include items for the entire family including siblings.
