Thank you to everyone who attended our Grand Finale Performance on Saturday; we couldn't have asked for a better ending to the organization's 25 years of artistic and educational service in dance to the communities we have been a part of.

Thank you also to all those who have supported and cherished GroundWorks DanceTheater, and whose lives we have touched and enriched and, in turn, have touched and enriched our lives. You are all a part of our legacy, and it lives on in you!!

GRAND FINALE PERFORMANCE - The Historic Conclusion to 25 Years of Moving Possibility!

After 25 years of groundbreaking contemporary dance performances in Northeast Ohio, nationally recognized, critically acclaimed, and beloved GroundWorks DanceTheater will present its grand finale performance today at Cain Park's Evans Amphitheater. This FREE concert is GroundWorks' parting gifts to our family, friends, contributors, and the communities we have served with gratitude for their tremendous support. This very special performance will feature three new dance works, including GroundWorks Founding Artistic Director David Shimotakahara's tribute to the music of jazz great Thelonious Monk, the latest from GroundWorks' Artist in Residence, Antonio Brown, and Seattle-based guest choreographer Olivier Wevers' "The Sixth" set to original music by American composer Philip Daniel about stripping away the layers of distraction in our daily lives to rediscover our true selves and inner peace. Celebrate for the final time what Cleveland’s Plain Dealer called the "Smoldering brilliance of one of Cleveland's cultural gems."
