We're excited to share the latest progress on the HELP Lakewood Renovation and Expansion project! Construction is underway, and as you can see, significant progress is being made towards enhancing our facilities.

This renovation is a crucial step in expanding our Adult Day Services and the HELP Harvest Kitchen, part of the HELP Harvest Vocational Training Program. With these improvements, we'll be able to serve even more individuals, providing valuable resources and opportunities to our community.

Meet Neil!

Neil is a student at Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania, where he majors in Graphic Design. While he is home this summer, he is working at Giant Eagle and is enrolled in HELP’s Employment Services Program. HELP Employment Services team members assisted Neil in creating a resume, applying to jobs, interview preparation, and onboarding and orientation.

HELP’s Summer Youth Work Experience Program at Lakewood Park Concessions is in full swing!

HELP's Employment Services program provides training options to persons with disabilities, not exclusive to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our Summer Youth Work Experience at Lakewood Park Concessions is just one example of the vocational training options we provide. Individuals who work at the concessions train alongside a Job Coach and typical transitioned aged youth in an integrated setting.

Lakewood Park Summer Concessions are open 7 days a week from 1 to 8 pm weather permitting, through Labor Day. Enjoy a cold drink and snack, plus excellent service from youth training on their first job!
