Good Evening Class of 1979! Hopefully, all of you are having a great Labor Day with family and/or friends. On another note, please let me know if you’re able to come on Friday, September 27th and especially Saturday, September 28th at the Floodz Bar starting at 6:30pm? Please reach out to our fellow classmates, so we can get an approximate count of who will be attending. Appreciate everyone’s help!

Good Afternoon Class of 1979! Just a reminder to put on your calendars, that our reunion festivities will begin Friday, September 27th for those who would like to attend the Homecoming pep assembly, parade, tour of the high school, tailgate and game! On Saturday, September 28th we’ll be meeting at the Floodz Bar located at Fern Hill Golf Course, in which it will be a cash bar and a surprise…. Plan on arriving around 6:30 ish to reconnect, reminisce, share your job and life experiences since leaving the hallowed halls of CHS! Class of 1979! I have started gathering some things from our time in high school. If any of you have something to share, please post.

ATTENTION: Class of 1979! I just met with the building principal of the high school regarding our 45th Reunion. The itinerary for Friday, September 27, 2024:
1)Pep Assembly starts at 1:30pm in the high school gym. We are all invited to attend and be recognized in front of the student body.
2)Homecoming Parade starts at 3:30pm. We are all invited to participate in the parade if you so choose. Maybe, we can make a float???
3)Tour of the High School after the Parade.
4)Tailgate after the tour.
5) Attend the Homecoming Game and our Class will be recognized on the football field or track before the game starts.
Saturday, September 28, 2024 TBD for gathering for drinks and reminiscing.

Good Morning Class of ‘79! I was just informed that this year’s Homecoming game will be Friday September 27, 2024. So, I’ll arrange a tour of the High School/Middle School that Friday in the afternoon, see the parade(possibly participate), tailgate and then the game. On Saturday the 28th, we’ll gather at a location TBD for drinks and mingle, catch up, etc. MARK YOUR CALENDARS. Please share this with our other classmates. Once a Dragon, Always a Dragon 🐉

Good morning Class of ‘79! Since those last 3 weekends suggested seem to be agreeable by most, I’m trying to set it up around Homecoming weekend. I’m working with Clintondale’s Athletic Director to have the Homecoming game on any of those specific Fridays. Also, I’ve been asked if we want to combine a couple Classes to join us on our celebration. Is that of any interest to the group? Remember, I’m just the messenger. LOL

Ok, classmates! After getting some private messages, here were the following dates suggested. September 20-21(Friday-Saturday), September 27-28(Friday-Saturday) and October 4-5(Friday-Saturday). I hope everyone understands that this isn’t about any one individual, but as a group collectively. Whatever is finally decided, I will also need to know if there is interest in a tour of the school for the group? Let’s try to make this work and let’s go Dragons!

What weekend works best for the Reunion? August 16-17(Friday-Saturday) or August 23-24(Friday-Saturday).

Ok class, what about the month of August for our Reunion? Please give suggestions…. I forgot to mention. If there is a group of you that would like to take a tour of the Middle School and High School, I can arrange that for us.

Good Afternoon Dragons! Just a reminder that Clintondale will be hosting Lamphere tonight at 7:00 pm at the Don Seiferlein Stadium on the Bill Apisa Football Field. Come join us support and cheer our football team to a victory tonight! Also, next Friday’s game will be the Dragon’s Homecoming game. Ex-Detroit Lions to join in Clintondale’s Bill Apisa memorial golf outing on Friday The outing is expected to raise between $20,000-$30,000 for unfunded requests in Clintondale’s sports program.

Hey Class of 1979! If anyone is interested, it would be a great time to catch up and mingle with others:) If you don’t golf, consider attending the dinner only. We’re expecting approximately 400 golfers with mostly being Alumni! Details are on the flyer.

Attention: Class of ‘79! Come and join fellow classmates, former teachers and friends. We have horse sponsorships available($25 per horse/you name your horse/if your horse wins-you win money), race sponsorships available($100 per full page ad, promote your business to fellow Dragons) and dinner tickets($50 per person for an open bar and buffet)for you, spouse, friends, classmates or business associates. If you’ve never been to this type of an event, it’s fun and exciting to win at the races. MAYBE OUR CLASS CAN GET A COUPLE TABLES OF 10…. Hope some of you can make it:)
