This Wednesday we’ll be having our missions meeting! We hope you’ll be there to hear more about the mission opportunities we have planned for the summer. Here’s a little from Leyton Parker about his time in France this past summer!
“Going on the mission trip to France was a wonderful experience. There were great memories made with people who are now some of my best friends, but more importantly I was able to learn so much about faith from a great family who does so much for a community. Developed secular countries are as much of a mission field as anywhere else, and this trip gives you an opportunity to help leave a Christian impression on a place that needs it.”
A week from today we’ll be having an interest meeting for our summer mission trips. Mission trips have been a longtime tradition of AFC and it’s our hope that all of our students will go on one during their time here. So many of our student have had such special and impactful experiences with these trips, we encourage you to come to the meeting to hear more about them!
Hailey Baker has gone on two of our trips to Neema Village in Tanzania. Here’s a little from her about her experience there: “Neema is just a peaceful place to be. Life is simpler and smiles are bigger and brighter. You can feel the presence of God wherever you go, His light shining through basically everyone you meet! These kids have been through it all but you could take one look at them and wouldn’t be able to tell. These kids embody the love, light, and goodness of Christ. You will leave changed for the better and I couldn’t recommend it enough :)”
