Successful capture of Arlo the Red Tailed Hawk. He has been a great help keeping the mice and snakes in check around the nursery. He came in asking for help for an injury. With the help of Wild Bird Sanctuary in Valley Park, MO he will hopefully be treated and rereleased back here.

This week we attended the annual horticulture convention, AmericanHort show in Columbus, Ohio. We took so many educational sessions, all of which were so informative. Always learning something new! We also got to see all of the new varieties coming in spring 2024. Lots of exciting stuff to come next year!

We are closed today in observance of Independence Day. 🇺🇸 We will reopen on Wednesday, July 5th.

Looking for something to do this weekend? Come check out the Madison County Garden Tour! Explore seven enchanting gardens plus the Open Gate Demonstration Garden at Drost Park. The tour is Friday, June 23rd from 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. and Saturday, June 24th from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. All tickets are $13.00 and are good for both days. Children 10 and under are free.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.event.gives/madcogardentour23, as well as at Joe's Market Basket in Edwardsville and Troy, Creekside Gardens - Collinsville, IL, the Madison County Extension office in Collinsville and Drost Park during the hours of the Garden Tour.
