It’s not a filter! This photo was taken with actual film, just like they did in the olden times. Some retro flavor, just for fun! We definitely love the vintage aesthetic, with extra points for authenticity. Thanks to my youngest sister, the brilliant mind behind the antique camera.

We were hoping to be open this weekend, but the weather has other plans! It’s going to be too hot for comfort- our swamp cooler just isn’t up to the task. Have a great holiday weekend!

Fabric Friday! Some delicate floral prints and neutral tones in this week’s batch of vintage cotton. We found some of these beauties at a yard sale in Pueblo, and bought the rest from a quilter in Iowa. We can’t wait to see what they become!

Fabric Friday! We just scored a sweet little box of vintage loveliness from a quilter in Oklahoma. Howdy neighbor! These will become gorgeous handmade dresses and skirts.

We were able to find a lot of red tones, which is fantastic- and a bit unusual. Red doesn’t seem to be the most popular color for quilts, for some reason. Or maybe it’s so popular that there’s none left over after decades? If you are in the know, clue us in!

All of our textiles are sourced directly from other small woman-owned businesses, usually quilters. Quilting cotton is sturdy and soft, and the colors are amazing! Plus, quilters always have a huge vintage fabric stash they’ve been holding on to. ALWAYS. It’s kind of a thing.

We found a house that perfectly matched the van, and a dress that went with both. No particular reason, it’s just fun to coordinate!

We’ve got all these beautiful colors to play with, might as well enjoy ourselves while we’re working! Do you ever play random, made-up games when you’re out with your friends?

Summer in Colorado Springs is the perfect time and place for cowboy boots and shift dresses! This lovely aqua brocade print Gilia dress is a size 8, available in our online shop.

The spring rain finally ended last week, so we took the van out for a photo shoot in Old Colorado City. We absolutely love our little shop, but it was so nice to go outside!

Happy Mother’s Day!

I hope you’re all following by now- we’ve been fangirling pretty hard over here! Camille’s brilliant business saves gently loved tees from landfill, and the woman herself has been building connection across the East Texas sustainable community.

We’re getting together for an Instagram Live next Monday, and I’m SO EXCITED! We’ll be talking about garment worker equality, the importance of a living wage, and the position of women in the industry. Bring your lunch and come hang with us!

Yesterday’s windstorm knocked out the internet at our shop, and unfortunately it’s not back up yet. Just waiting on hold with our service provider- you all know the drill!

We’ll let you know if they fix it in time to open up today. In the meantime, please take a look at our online store! We can still receive and process orders, just not onsite. We’ll see you in person again tomorrow!
