In this class you can expect a non-intimidating approach as we integrate mobility, strength and breathing practices with pelvic health components.

All bodies and abilities are welcome into this supportive environment.

With small class sizes, you'll receive personalized attention and tailored guidance to enhance your pelvic health

Current cost is $25 per class and are held Mondays at 9:30am, 5pm, and every other Saturday at 10am and are led by a certified pelvic health therapist.

What you should know about a Diastasis Recti and your Pelvic Floor:

1. It’s not only about the abdomen- it’s about the canister! To treat and prevent Diastasis Recti you need to address every part of your abdominal canister, which is made up of the diaphragm, abdominals, back muscles, and pelvic floor. Your provider should be assessing all of these parts to make a treatment program for you.

2. It’s not only about getting stronger. A tight pelvic floor can make rehab very difficult. If we begin strengthening before we have good mobility, it can create increased pressure in your body’s “canister”, and if you have been pregnant, your abdominal wall is the path of least resistance for that pressure.

This is easier said than done, which is why many patients seek out a pelvic PT.
If you suspect you may be suffering from Diastasis Recti and can’t find relief, consider a PT who knows how the body works together as a whole.
We are here to help you uncover the underlying issues and provide knowledgeable, research-backed, proven methods of physical therapy to get you on the road to recovery.

Why are my hands on her ribs?

Breathing! The thorax, ribcage, and diaphragm have everything to do with your pelvic health and core. It is vital to restore mobility and coordination to breathing patterns, especially if you struggle with anxiety, have ever been pregnant, or if you exercise.

Belly breathing is NOT proper diaphragmatic breathing.

Chronic pelvic pain (CPP) is thought to affect 1 in 7 women. If you have been suffering with CPP, you may have been told by your providers that the pain is in your head, or your only solution is birth control. You may also have a diagnosis like Endometriosis, PCOS, or Interstitial Cystitis.
Pelvic PT, along with mindfulness practices and a functional medicine approach can significantly help decrease pain and improve quality of life for those with chronic pelvic pain. If you feel like you have been stuck, know that there are experts able to assist you with your healing journey.

What is the pelvic floor?

A major gap of knowledge and care exists for this part of our bodies. Here is what you should know:

- it is a bowl-shaped group of muscles inside your pelvis
- these muscles help control your urinary, bowel, sexual function, and is literally part of your core
- you can do actually do harm by doing "kegels"
- your breathing is directly tied to the function of these muscles
- pelvic floor issues can happen to women that have never given birth, and men

Our society normalizes issues that can easily be treated by an expert. You should never tolerate living with:
- pelvic pain, pain with pe*******on
- urinary or bowel leakage
- urinary urgency (AKA your bladder rules your life)
- constipation
