Chef Kris Canada returns with another FABULOUS meal planned for our Fat Tuesday Roux Pop-Ups! Prepare to feast on an authentic, cajun six-course meal.

The cost for the event is $60 per person, but for party reservations of 4 guests or more, the price for the meal is reduced to $50 per person! You can reserve your spot with a $10 deposit that will go towards your final bill.

Roux Pop-Up #5 for Second Saturday’s CajunFest in Rocheport was a great success! Many thanks to Andy Hickman for reaching out and taking a chance on me to be a main food vendor. And all the thanks to my Roux Crew this time around Tayler & Jesse and my Dad ❤️

This Saturday Roux Pop-Ups will be set up on Central St. in Rocheport MO as part of their August 12, Second Saturday “Cajunfest”
I’ll be serving my Andouille, Chicken & Crawfish Gumbo, Cajun seasoned Collard Greens & Cornbread.
Weather looks to be beautiful & Swampweed Cajun Dancehall Band is playing songs to fill the air. Come out and support this lovely river town and enjoy what all this festival has to offer ❤️

Friday, July 21st we have the special opportunity to hear from Columbia native, Kris Canada! Tickets will become available next Monday, but in the meantime learn more about Chris below:

Kris Canada is a Columbia, MO native and currently the Head Chef at Boone Health as well as Creator and Executive Chef at Roux Pop-Ups.

At the hospital, Kris prepares patient meals as well as creates, prepares, and serves a specialized lunch option in the cafeteria. He takes great pride and joy in offering his creations to both staff and visitors. Food is Kris’ passion and having the opportunity to create his own daily meal is something he’s extremely grateful for.

Recently, he’s combined that passion with his favorite cuisine, Cajun & Creole. Kris started Roux Pop-ups as a way to share his love of New Orleans style food with his community. As a traveler and a chef, he has had the good fortune of trying different foods throughout different regions. He found his heart in Gumbo and all things crawfish. With the help of great friends, Roux has been a success. The menus consist of classic Cajun cuisine like Crawfish Étouffée and then dishes with his own twist like Fried Shrimp & Cheese Grits. With great pleasure, he will continue to pursue his passion and provide good food for good people. .

$30 gets you 1.5lbs of crawfish, boiled new potatoes & corn, a cup of my gumbo, and a taste of Cajun boudin while it lasts.
