Hello CPS Parents... just a little PSA from a school secretary as we prepare for the upcoming school year! 😊

CPS just sent out annual registration information for the 24/25 school year. This is VITALLY important if you need your student to have bus transportation for the upcoming school year! If you do not “opt-in” for busing by AUGUST 1, your student will NOT have busing on the first day of school, and may not be routed for a while after school starts.

You can opt-in for busing in the Parent Portal when you register your student for the 24/25 school year. (Yes, you must do this even if your child was registered last year, or just registered for kindergarten.) 😊 Instructions on how to do this, as well as info about your login info, was emailed to families today.

Also, it’s VERY, VERY important that if your student(s) need to be picked up or dropped off at an address that is different than your home address to request that BEFORE August 1. You can do this in the Alternate Transportion tab in the annual registration process.

As a secretary, I have ZERO control over buses and stops, and STA WILL NOT remember that your child went to a different address after school last year. It’s a brand new year, and everything starts over.

Check out this new event! PTA Fun Run. It will take place at Cosmo Park on the morning of April 27, 2024. The goal is to offer the community a free event to come together for a fun 2.5k run/walk and also gather funds for different CPS elementary school PTA groups.

We are so happy to have everyone back at school for a few more weeks before Winter Break! We would like to invite everyone to participate in our Festive Fridays starting this week!
