Today was beautiful. I got to treat a bridal party with a celebratory feast. Not all in life is easy, so make sure whatever difficult task you are facing, at the very least, satisfies your heart. I really do love to help assist others in having the best time ever.

Observation...
Another season is passing through, but it's unlike any I've experienced previously. I find myself full of gratitude for not knowing a damn thing and am enjoying just getting to be. I've had great loss along with an equal amount gifts come my way. Life is short and it pays to lean into the changing nature of it all. Do something out of your ordinary, get off balance, challenge what it is you think you know and I promise you will find some clarity.

Paired with Organic Raw Sprouted Hazelnuts
Spiced delicately with Ceylon Cinnamon and a pinch of sea salt. Sweetened with Ohio Clover Honey and organic coconut sugar.
Its origins are from Jewish communities in Poland and the Ukraine. It’s a popular dessert for celebrations in Israel and amongst the Jewish diaspora.
Proudly baked with Non GMO Golden Einkorn Wheat that is grown and processed right here in our Ohio country side.
Golden Einkorn Wheat is considered an ancient grain and is considerably more nutritious than conventional all-purpose flour.
She also uses butter and pasture raised eggs, both of which are locally produced.

Took a brief moment today to recharge my battery. My bicycle and the woods are my healing tools.

My haul from the today. I love participating in this market, but I love even more all the goodies I come home with. I'll be participating in this market all winter long and I can't recommend enough coming out and supporting your local farmers and producers. I haven't even touched base on what a beautiful setting it is. The market is located in the mezzanine of the Ohio Historical Society, complete with a mastodon, a Model T and a vintage single prop plane. Come visit me and all the other cool vendors this winter. It really is a lovely way to spend your Saturday morning.

The seasons pass by so fast. I slow down and appreciate the sensory experience by settleing into my ingredients. Texture, color, taste, sound and smell are easily missed. Tapping into these experiences helps to slow the passage of time and regulate my body functions. Life can pass you by if you are not tapping into those simple things that make us wonderfully human.
