BOOP K9
for dog people
Royce wants you to have a great weekend!
Sophie here for Day 1 of the BOOP Camp Day Training program!
Today is the 4 year anniversary of Lincoln's last dose of chemo! 4 whole years. Time just keeps flying.
Lincoln still loves his dogs. He's getting more and more interested in training now that I've been back at it full time for the last year.
This video is 7 years old, during the 1st year of treatment for Lincoln. These dogs brought us so much joy and relief during the tough times. Dexter is still here with us, but we miss our boys Eddie and Mack every day.
I had to break the backseat window of somebody's car today because they accidentally locked their keys, phone, AND dog in the car when they were loading up after the park. It happens. I called a locksmith for them, but it was going to take too long and it was HOT!
So we bashed that window in and got the pup out.
It's almost summer and the hot weather is already here, so just a reminder to double check to make sure you have your keys on you so you don't find yourself in the same situation.
Also that window is way stronger than you think. Grab a rock.
It feels like a lifetime ago!
Looking back on Lincoln's journey reminds me to stop and be thankful today, and every day, for where we are now.
Feels like it was just yesterday...but also a hundred years ago.
Love being this kids dad!
Today was my first official day as a stay at home dad, as Courtney went in to work today. Some notes and numbers:
* 2 poops...for him(one for me! *exploding fist bump*)
* I touched Lincoln's head 47 times to check for fever. Thermometers are overrated.
* 3.5 hours of naptime spread over two naps...for him
* I slept on the couch from 2am to 6am because Lincoln gets what he wants.
* I don't know how many finger family or surprise egg videos we watched, but you should all contact your local state representative about them. No way they aren't part of some alien takeover.
* 0 steps taken outside the house.
* Snapchat still on fleek FYI ()
* 1 selfie on Snapchat taken by Lincoln.
* Lincoln's food variety for the day: potato chips, cheese sticks, 6 french fries, two apple slices, one cracker, and a bunch of whole milk.
* 17, the number of times Lincoln waved and/or said hi to one of the dogs.
* 0, the number of times the dogs said hi back.
* 5, the number of electronic devices used throughout the day.
* 1, the number of books Lincoln allowed me to read him before demanding one of said electronic devices back.
* 1 citation for driving with an open container(pictured above)
It only gets better from here, folks.
