On this special day, we’d like to pay tribute to two remarkable presidents who also happened to be engineers - Herbert Hoover and Jimmy Carter. They combined their engineering expertise with their leadership skills to serve our nation with dedication and innovation.

Herbert Hoover, the 31st President of the United States, brought his engineering knowledge to the White House. With a degree in geology and a background in mining engineering, he exemplified the power of problem-solving and resourcefulness.

Jimmy Carter, the 39th President of the United States, not only served in the U.S. Navy but also played a significant role in the development of nuclear propulsion systems. His engineering background and commitment to innovation left a lasting impact on our country.

Today, we honor these engineer presidents and their contributions to our nation. Their legacy reminds us of the vital role engineering plays in shaping our world for the better.

It's tree-clearing season…and not just Christmas Trees! In Ohio, developers can only clear trees unrestricted between October 1 and March 31. Developers working on projects with federal funding or wetlands are subject to restrictions, limiting their ability to clear trees from April 1 through September 30 (a popular time for construction).
