We had such a productive day today! It was officially my first day back in the office after taking a week off to sell my house and move 😅 and boy- talk about a process!! My heart goes out to all our clients trying to plan a wedding, buy a house and embark on that next chapter- it was no easy feat. So excited to be residents of UA and closer to all the action. ​​​​​​​​

Happy Mother’s Day, mamas! Whether you are one of the incredible moms that I adopt as my own during the planning process, one of the mamas whose littles twirled around with joy on your wedding day, or the glowing brides carrying the most precious gift with them on their big day… we celebrate you!!
Wishing each mom a restful, blessed day where you feel appreciated for all you do. We know today isn’t easy for everyone. Grief and sadness can steal the day. To the ones who lost their moms, may comfort and love fill your heart. To our friends longing for a baby, please don’t lose hope. The Lord sees your tears, and is with you always. And to the mamas who lost their baby, I pray an overwhelming peace over you, strength and endurance to push through the motions and find joy in the midst of heartache. 🙏🏻

This labor of love was a HUGE hit this past weekend, and I am overwhelmed by how great it turned out!! The 2 day wedding for D&R at the Statehouse will always be a one of my all time favorites, but I have a feeling this weekend N&D just might find themselves in my top 5. Their romantic, literary design is giving all the pride & prejudice vibes, and what better venue to host this beautiful day?! Cue all the custom builds, delicate florals, lush linens and fancy rentals. I can’t wait to bring it all together for them! 🤗 ​​​​​​​​

Made it back home today from a mini trip visiting my family in Virginia. I had over 16 hrs in the car and did a lot of thinking. Everything about business, and marketing, to social media, growth, work/life balance. All of it. Looking forward to getting it down on paper and making some sense of it all. One of the beautiful elements to being self employed is the chance to pivot and implement new ideas and elements. Cant wait to see how it turns out in this next wedding season!

How tough do you take it when you make a mistake?
I don’t know about you, but I’m still working on being a little kinder to myself. For example, this set up. When I designed this table scape for our inaugural I was set on the several elements (like this luscious chartreuse velvet linen 🤤) but hadn’t decided exactly how I wanted to fold the napkins or the place cards. Although I was overwhelming happy with how everything turned out, when I got the gallery back, I was kicking myself I didn’t wrap this place card around the spoon instead of placing it on the plate. It would have fit so perfectly! I almost didn’t post this photo because I regret it so much.. Breaking this perfectionism is a bear. Pray for me y’all

I get back in town at 2am from our amazing spring break in Sedona, Arizona. As excited as I am to get back to our clients and kicking off the incredible season we have, I’d be lying if I said I’m not leaving a piece of my heart behind in the dessert mountains. 8 days was truly not enough, and I’m already planning our next trip back! Happy Tuesday friends! It’s Spring Break in our house and we are soaking up the Sedona sunshine for a long overdue vacation! It’s been two years since I’ve taken a trip and let me tell ya, it couldn’t have come at a better time. Although we’ve travelled to some beautiful places for work in the past couple years, taking a vacation with nothing wedding/event related is a rarity. It’s so hard for me to just “turn it off” sometimes. And even though I’m wishing I packed a table scape in my carry on to shoot in these red rocks, I’m going to refrain and choose the African safari and zipline instead. I’m banging out a short to-do list this morning (it’s only 9am here) consisting of email follow ups, scheduling consults, atelier gathering to do’s and timeline updates before completely unplugging for the week. ​​​​​​​​

Yesterday marked two years since I had the pleasure of working with this babe. I smiled seeing this photo scheduled in my grid, unintentionally syncing up with their anniversary. It’s the clients like D&R that fuel to my fire. The ones with pure, kind hearts, that trust you to lead them through the planning process and all the twists and turns that may come. Relationships like these inspire and encourage me to continue to forge my path on the road less traveled and seek couples who align with our heart. I never wanted to be a powerhouse planner, pumping weddings out every weekend and burning out in the process. I’m so grateful I get to work with only a handful of clients each year because it allows me to truly pour into them. But not only that, it allows me the flexibility and freedom to enjoy this life, my family, friends, traveling, and the gift of peace. I’m more inspired because I can live slower and not get caught on the hamster wheel. But the real beauty in all of this, is that in my striving to have a purposeful impact on my clients, they in turn leave the most meaningful impression on me. It’s seriously the most precious gift, and I’m forever grateful to God for it all.🫶🏻​​​​​​​​

I’m probably most excited for our Style & Shoot station, on day 2, where planners will choose from an array of and to create their own masterpiece table scapes to be captured. will be crafting multiple centerpiece styles/options to choose from and we will have a mix of unique menus/place cards to style. I’ve never seen this done before, and am so excited to see it come together. ✨​​​​​​​​

What are the top 4 you ask? The “top 4” are the first vendors you want to secure AFTER making your guest list and confirming your budget. I can’t stress enough how vital it is that you do these two things first before you start planning your dream day! These vendors will take up the majority of your budget (somewhere between 40-60%), so booking these first is an intentional process to ensure we are maximizing your money to the fullest and not overspending on design and all the additional needs. It’s technically our “off season” but any planner will tell you that’s not really a thing. Between all the updates to our systems, business prep, inquires & consults, we are in the thick of planning for our 2024 weddings and laying the groundwork for our 2025 clients! Last week we finalized floor plans for our May Statehouse wedding, started artwork for the day of prints, got rentals quotes for our June tablescapes, and reviewed contracts for our Sept buildout. Lots happening as we also try to navigate personal life and the flu running rampant in our home. 😅 So grateful for our amazing clients sending all the love and well wishes our way. We can’t wait to show you all the beauty we have in the works for next year🤍 ​​​​​​​​
