Headliner bio for OPE N’ AIR!

Sometimes dubby, sometimes clubby, Brooklyn's own Jeff Sorkowitz understands how to move
a crowd, whether that be in a dark warehouse or a pulsing mega club. As the visionary &
mastermind behind renowned record label Short Circuit, Jeff has cultivated the label’s signature
underground sound, which has been heard around the world, from Printworks in London & Ibiza
to NYC, South America and beyond. With a full slate of forward-thinking releases set for 2024,
Jeff has already garnered consistent support from heavyweights such as Michael Bibi, Jamie
Jones, Joseph Capriati, Loco Dice and more. Look out for Jeff as he continues his rise, bringing
the Short Circuit sound from Brooklyn to the world.

Jeff has played alongside titans like Jamie Jones, Sidney Charles, Yousef & others on stages
at Factory Town Miami, Elrow, Elsewhere, the Brooklyn Mirage and more.

His releases on notable labels Knee Deep, Binary, & Take Notes [2024] have garnered
support by SOSA UK, Michael Bibi, Loco Dice, Gorgon City, Gordo, Mau P, Danny Howard, BBC
1, ANTS Radio, Tommorrowland, and Ibiza Radio.

Jeff is also Label Boss of Short Circuit, one of the top selling labels worldwide in the Minimal/Deep
Tech genre, with support from a majority of A list DJs in the space, from Martinez Bros to
Marco Carola and beyond.

Headliner bio for OPE N’ AIR 2024

The formation of Pig&Dan may have been an unusual one, but was no doubt fate. The two
crossed paths on a flight to Mallorca back in 1999, when Dan was a resident DJ at Ministry of
Sound and touring globally, and Igor was deep in the world of illegal underground raves whilst
producing music under the name Tropic 39. By that stage the two had gone through a number of
strong formative years surrounded by music.

Pig&Dan have experienced a year of even more incredible moments meeting so many inspiring people whilst playing at festivals from the epic Tomorrowland along side Deadmau5, Adam Beyer and Eric Prydz, to Nocternal Wonderland in California with Anna, Matador and John Digweed.

Pig&Dan have achieved an amazing back-catalogue of releases on labels including Soma, Plus8, Terminal M, Diynamic, Bedrock and most recently Drumcode. Chart topping releases came in the form of ‘Growler’ and their landmark LP ‘Modular Baptism’ on their own label ELEVATE. And not forgetting their 2016 debut to Adam Beyer’s Drumcode with ‘Mexico’ and
‘Chemistry’ which sat at the No. 1 Techno Track spot on Beatport for over 2 months, leading to signing 3 more EP’s with the label.
