Junior Miss Ohio AmeriFest
Meet Oona, your 2024 Junior Miss Ohio AmeriFest
Jr. Miss Ohio, Oona, enjoyed her time at the Johnny Appleseed Luncheon in Lisbon Ohio! Her favorite part was borrowing Kadiee’s fan since it was hot & the luncheon was outside. She also had apple cider for the first time & liked it! 9-22-24.
8-31-24 Oona enjoyed her time at the parade and luncheon for the Zucchini Festival! It was great meeting new people and running into old friends! Thanks Obetz for a great day!
Oona enjoyed her time at the Bratwurst Festival Luncheon today. She even won a gift basket! Thank you Raven for representing your community well this year! I’m glad we were able to celebrate you & your court.
Oona had a fun time at the Bakersville Luncheon today!
Oona enjoyed her time at the Baltimore Festival and dessert social 8-3-24. She watched the parade & walked around. She ate some yummy french fries & a fish sandwich. Then she stopped by the Dresden Melon Festival on her way home, where she got to jump in the bounce house.
Oona enjoyed her time at the Newcomerstown Cy Young Queen luncheon and reception 6-29-24. It was Luau themed. Her brother gave up his title of Little Slugger. Then we did the parade, but I forgot to take a picture.
Oona stopped by the Roscoe Village Block Party today, 06-15-24. She colored a picture of the canal boat, petted a blind cat, blew bubbles, played canal era games, & met lots of people.
We went to the Universe Bridal & Prom Shop today to try to find the perfect dress for Nationals. We now know what size we need, but are still on the hunt. Thank you to the wonderful ladies that helped us. We even got a picture at their Prices Right tv set wall piece. If you’re looking for a gown, make an appointment & check them out!
I had a great time hanging out with my AmeriFest family today at the Miss Ohio Parade. We got there early so we helped decorate. I had fun helping clip the decorations on! Thank you Carrie for having us do this parade. Thank you Eric for driving our float! You’re an outstanding team!
Oona enjoyed the Coshocton Hot Air Balloon Festival’s Night Glow yesterday, 06-07-24.
We started our day out at the Coshocton Senior Center’s Farmer’s Market, where we bought earrings, a lizard keychain, ate donuts, and Oona was gifted an apron. She wore that apron & earrings all day as we then traveled to Newark’s Strawberry Festival. There we picked up Uncle Greg & played a water game, ate French fries, & had strawberry shortcake with strawberry ice cream. We missed hanging out with Aunt Cara, as she was not feeling well.
Today we participated in the Coshocton Memorial Day Parade and then drove to Warsaw to participate in their Memorial Day Parade. It was great seeing some familiar faces & meeting new people. Thank you to all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. We will never forget.
Thank you for your service & bravery.
Oona enjoyed her time at the Norwalk Strawberry Festival today as her mom passed on her Mrs. title & was then awarded Norwalk Strawberry Festival Ambassador! It was a great day filled with family time, meeting new people, & having fun!
Oona enjoyed Buckeye Lake’s first ever Pirate Festival today!
Oona had fun at the West Lafayette Yellow Flags sales today! She even found some pretty dresses, jewelry, dance outfits, & shoes. She was even given a cute blue My Little Pony. I wish I would have taken more pictures! It did rain in West Lafayette as we were out & about. We ended our day by visiting the new kittens at Haarman’s Pallet Treasures.
Oona enjoyed her time at The Maple Festival in Chardon, Ohio on Saturday.
We ended our Sunday, April 21, 2024 evening by attending a Girl Scout meeting, where Oona got to talk about her adventures from the weekend. Then she hunted for bugs, created her bugs with clay, and made dirt pudding.
Oona had an exciting & very busy weekend! We started by attending the Hometown Hearts Pageant in Baltimore, OH. Then we went to COSI to explore Space features & displays. Next we were off to Polaris Mall, where she met people, read to another girl at Barns & Noble, and recommended some books for some students & adults who have children her age. Our fourth activity was attending a Girl Scout Lock-in at Polaris Mall. She was the only kid at her camp site that did not cuddle up into their sleeping bag! She talked with the DJ, took pictures with people, made a mask, & even sang Karaoke! Sunday morning we drove to Newark, where Oona sang with her sister & mom in her Aunt’s church choir.
Oona’s second community appearance was helping out at the Sock Hop at Windsorwood. She enjoyed gathering candy amount guesses from the residents. Then we enjoyed ice-cream at Earls!
Oona’s first community appearance as AmeriFest Jr. Miss Ohio was at the baseball fields!
