Another successful laser resurfacing procedure today. This is my favorite treatment option for fine lines and wrinkles anywhere on the face, especially around the mouth. Nothing is as effective, safe, and long lasting as erbium laser. If needed, I can combine this with filler, Botox, and other minimally invasive modalities to give you the best results!

Here is my process for Botox and Dysport injections. It starts with marking the injection points based on the patient's facial anatomy and goals. Next I personally reconstitute the Botox so I know the exact number of units and concentration to ensure safety and repeatability. Lastly I perform the treatment. My goal is to make the process as safe, comfortable, and effective as possible.

I am often asked how to get rid of the wrinkles around the mouth. These stubborn lines form due to the repetitive contraction of the circular orbicularis oris muscle combined with volume loss of the tissues around the mouth. My technique is tailored to the patient and may often include filler and Botox. However, in my opinion the most effective, long lasting method is laser resurfacing. Watch my technique here using deep erbium laser ablation of the entire lip area followed by precise ablation of the residual wrinkle edges.

There are many facets to rejuvenation around the eyes. Subtle changes in volume around the brow and temple can sometimes go unrecognized. A youthful brow requires volume and proportional fullness particularly along the tail of the brow and upper eyelid. Replacing the volume with filler (as in this case) or your own fat can improve brow contour and position as well as one's overall aesthetic. Injection of a keloid scar with kenalog (steroid). This patient had a procedure elsewhere and developed this mature scar. Keloids can occur after poor incision planning or surgical technique but sometimes are inevitable. Fortunately there are a number of modalities to treat keloids with sequential kenalog injections being one of the most popular. Here I perform a broad band light (BBL) treatment for a patient with prominent facial vessels, rosacea and redness. This non-invasive light based therapy works very well for many skin types and skin conditions including redness, prominent vessels, flushing, freckles, age spots, and even hair removal. She experienced minimal pain and went right back to work with only mild redness. Patients can expect improvement after just one treatment but for best results multiple treatments (typically 3-4) separated by 3-4 weeks is recommended. Watch as I inject Restylane filler into the tear trough. A common component to tired appearing eyes and dark circles is often the depression that forms in the area known as the tear trough. In this video I use a blunt tip cannula to decrease the risk of bruising and other adverse reactions. It also cuts down on patient discomfort. This was performed with a small amount of topical anesthetic and as you can see was well tolerated.
