Another team camp in the books! It was hot but the wrestlers persevered and overcame some adversity to make it another successful trip to Doane! Thanks to all the wrestlers and coaches that took time out their summer to attend!

Congratulations to Coach Balfour! Thank you for all you do for our wrestling programs here at Lakeview!

Lakeview’s Emma Glendy decided to wrestle last May. Since she has done nothing but get better and better every time she steps onto the mat. She had a great regular season for the Lady Vikes and ended up qualifying for state. Since the season ended, she has been wrestling in postseason tournaments and qualified to represent a Nebraska team last week in Iowa! Although she took a hard shot to the nose, she still managed to compete and win her fair share of matches against some of the best in the nation! Great job Emma!

Emma Finecy’s Nebraska team wins gold and Emma earns a bronze All-American award for her weekend of competition. Great job Emma!!!

Lakeview’s Emma Finecy was a perfect 5-0 on the day and her Nebraska team was also 5-0! Great start to the weekend! Good luck tomorrow Emma!

Lakeview club wrestlers competed at Central City and NEUSA state in Grand Island the past two weekends. These wrestlers are so much fun to coach and we love how hard they compete. Parents shared a few pictures for me to post. It’s been such a fun year and we couldn’t be more proud of how they’ve grown their love for the sport of wrestling!

Wrestling award night 2024! Huge THANK YOU to James Kucera for making the awesome Battle Shields, Ax and Spear! And congratulations to all the wrestlers and coaches on another stellar season in the books!

Lakeview wrestling banquet tonight at 6PM. Can’t wait to celebrate these awesome athletes and their achievements this year!

On Saturday LYWC had 39 wrestlers enter the NEUSA district 3 tournament in O’Neill. It’s a very competitive tournament in many age groups and weight classes with over 20 wrestlers competing for a top 4 finish to qualify to wrestle at the NEUSA state tournament.
LYWC had 25 out of the 39 wrestlers qualify for state and many very close. We were very proud of the team effort and finished 4th as a team. Thank you to all the parents/coaches that made the trip and represented our club so well.
